What's new

I'm no longer a Snyder fan.

Quin needs to be more flexible with lineups. Quin is also a great coach. A lot of guys simply aren’t playing hard enough or good enough right now.

But legitimately what’s up with Don? I know my history of conspiracy theories in regards to him won’t help me here but for real what’s up? For a few games in a row he was going back to the locker room a couple times a game. He sounds perky and upbeat in interviews. Does his pandering of “I want to be on Rudy’s team” or acts like he doesn’t know the All Star draft is tomorrow because he’s “so focused on the Jazz”. He then comes out plays sluggish. Disinterested. And with a lack of effort and mental focus. He may still be sick in some sort of way, but something is off with him at the moment.

Also, I hate when the Jazz do this thing where they won’t reveal at all what’s wrong. Donovan went back to the locker room several times for a few games for a reason. Like just tell us what’s wrong.

Also, I don’t think the locker room seems all that tight right now. The lack of effort all around is something.
Are y'all srs? More flexible with lineups? Jazz are season after season the team with the most played lineup combinations in the Snyder era

I really try to avoid JFC in moments like this because I know the BS will be out of control and I can't contain myself calling it out

The Jazz lost the last two games because Don played like trash. He has regular games, not even good games, just like OK, and they are fine.

Not saying everything is perfect or going in the right direction, but it's not nearly as bad as most think

Clarkson is great as instant offense but he appears to freewheel **** out there so much that I’m not sure he’s great, or even good, at fitting in Quin’s team construct.

Give Brantley some rotation minutes for **** sale

Guys have to just accept the fact he isn't ready. I'd like to see something different as well, but that is simply for the sake of seeing something different. Snyder can't simply act on that impulse.

The Jazz signed a guy right out of the GLeague and gave him minutes from the jump and he didn't look good, but won't give Oni/Morgan/Brantley/Goss minutes. That probably tells you those guys look worse than Tucker in practice.

True. But they are not a contender and losing games they shouldn’t and can’t afford to. No way given the circumstances losing all those 5 games, especially last nights, is okay. Yeah they’ll be okay, but they aren’t at all going to be what we had hoped. I didn’t really love Dons postgame last night where he kind of took responsibility for the game, but then didn’t take responsibility for what he did wrong basically saying he wouldn’t do anything different. Then there’s Rudy talking about softness as he gives up easy rebounds, has committed so many silly fouls over this stretch and has been rather soft and unfocused himself. The two leaders need to practice what they preach. Also Joe has sucked and has to be better.

He should have pulled Donovan for Clarkson with about 5 minutes left in the fourth. That's a fact

Great coaches are the ones that pull the trigger on decisions like that.

Great players are the ones who won't let their ego get in front of the team if pulled because they're having a bad game.

Quin is a believer in his process. While his process wins ultimately, it's slow and allows too many unnecessary loses.

Quin is a good coach who's all about player development. The question is can he work on his own development and become a great coach?

How does a team lose 5 in a row after going on their second hottest streak in 22 or 23 games in franchise history without having players injured?

You Mike Conley hating bitches you.

Snyder has been given a tough task with so many G League guys, but the "this guy isn't ready... or isn't as good in practice" is a tough argument imo. TB wasn't ready but was better than Ed... there is a lot that goes into playing time decisions. Niang has been here longer and that is the primary reason he plays more. He's shot the ball well and is a good teammate. In a vacuum he is probably more ready and better than Brantley... he's not what that second unit currently needs. Not sure Brantley is, but we should try it.

I think Tucker got minutes because he's better than Oni and is a wing... Brantley and Morgan are bigs.

Has Snyder lost the team? It's like they have quit on him.
No, because thins looked better about 6 games ago. Jazz just haven’t looked like an actually good team even during a lot of those games during that run.

How is it a tough argument? There is no other argument I can think of unless you just think Snyder has a personal vendetta against these players.

And idk how Niang isn't what the 2nd unit needs. Does the team not need 40% 3pt shooting floor spacers? The only problem with the 2nd unit is the center position. Brantley can't play the 5 and they must think that Morgan can't either.

Please name me the ****ing coach who pulls their best offensive player for a Bench scorer in crunch time.

I wonder if Phil Jackson ever pulled Kobe for Sasha Vujecic if Kobe was having a bad game in crunch time.
