Official dgaf about all-star weekend

Make it so you have to win by 3, or 4 or whatever. So, first to whatever and by a margin of 3, or 4 or whatever. Thats what I would do.

I just finished watching the AS game. I only watch them when a Jazzman is playing, and then I record it and skim through later. But I watched this whole game and was very entertained. Who would have foreseen a fourth quarter like that?

I really enjoyed all of the events of the weekend, though, from Donovan's commentary on the Rising Stars game to exciting Saturday night events (until the lame voting at the end of the dunk contest).

Our All-stars did us proud. Rudy was amazing - loved that he was one of four players mentioned in the MVP conversation during the fourth quarter.

If they were only going to play starters in the 4th, why wasn't Young playing? They would have won if he had been in. And definitely would have won with Rudy.

They needed more shooting on the floor with Giannis down the stretch, and maybe some defensive subs near the end when team LeBron took the lead, but I don't think the coaches really cared enough to actually coach to win tbh.

All in all it was a fun game, the second and third quarters were pretty similar to a typical all star game fourth quarter, meaning they were kind of trying a little on defense, and the fourth quarter was far and away the most intense play I've ever seen in an all star game.

I think a world team vs the USA would be a better format.
You can't lock that in. You need the ~30 best players in the NBA regardless of USA or World. There may come a time when 20 of the best players in the NBA are from outside the USA.

Well it was clear Nurse didnt care but yeah I hope they keep this format, it was fun in the end.
That 4th qtr was something else for an All-Star game.

Put Rudy in and the West, err, I mean Team Giannis wins it.

I really wish is was west vs east. I don't care if that means west wins by big margins, get better eastern conference!

Donovan didn't manage a single dunk. It almost looked like team LeBron was intent on NOT letting him have a big dunk. Like most players could waltz in and dunk it, but if Donovan was going in he they were collapsing on him.

Not a good game by Donovan other than his assists.

I think it's true for all the young guys. The older vets didn't give anything easy to
Ingram, Don, Trae, Booker, etc. But they let Kawhi shoot like 6 or 7 wide open 3's. They let Giannis waltz right thru.

Gobert played so well though. Awesome to see.
