It is fun to see the Frank be open about his big board after the draft. Funny to see them talk about drafting a back up PG with the 16th pick.

Also, Keefe was going to be my suggestion as well. Great videos.

I got the chance to visit with D. Marshall during his last season in Utah. The things he had to say about Stockton, Malone, Sloan, and the city of Salt Lake would give this forum straight up ****ing goose bumps.

Do tell...

I miss Karl with his surly attitude. Kinda want to see his 89 version charge the rim against todays competition. Or see his 98 version kill the opponents with jump shots and layups.

Maybe he could convince the current Jazz that fast break baskets are still worth 2 points and maybe teach Quins teams how to run the floor?

Do tell...

First off, just a hell of a nice guy. I asked him how he felt the day he got traded to the Jazz and he very honestly told me he was devastated. He wasn’t excited to live in Utah and he hated Karl. I guess the season before, Karl drove to the hoop on Marshall with his knee up and cracked one of Donnie’s ribs. He went on to tell me how well he and his family were treated by fans and neighbors and that he couldn’t believe he could leave his house unlocked without worry. He said Karl and John quickly won him over with their work ethic and passion for the game. He said Karl was “the best teammate I’ve ever had” and said Jerry was easily the best coach he’d ever played for at any level. It was a contract year for him and I asked him if he’d like to stay. He told me that if he had it his way, he’d finish his career here. He also said most players have the same opinion of Salt Lake: It’s their last choice until they get here and then they never want to leave.

Sadly, the Jazz didn’t resign him but it was really cool to hear him say such great things about the city and the organization.
