Healthiest countries in the world.... USA ranks 35th

I have a theory that there is only so much fat in the universe, it cannot be created nor destroyed, so if someone loses weight, someone else has to find it.

So I'm taking one for the team.

how? shave your pubes?
Diet and exercise. Though my back went out on me 2 days ago so the exercise part hasn't been happening for a few days now unfortunately.

That's one of my pet peeves. Whenever I get my **** together and get a good workout plan going I get hurt.

I sit around and do nothing and don't get hurt

Universal health care? Who wants that??? Then the poor’s will receive life saving care and I’ll have to wait a little longer to get a new hip so I can go golfin!

Not surprising. Most Americans wouldn't know a balanced diet or how to ride a bike or do healthy activities if their life depended on it. Which it does...

But blame healthcare lol not the guy or gal stuffing their face with McChickens and 32 oz Dr. Peppers all while sitting on their phone for hours a day. Always someone else to blame with some

You can blame more than one thing for something silly

Some people have health problems that have nothing to do with their diet or amount of exercise. Have you ever heard of cancer?

Right now I'm sitting in a hospital room because my 3 year old is having surgery on her eyes in about 30 minutes. She doesn't need surgery because she has a poor diet or because she doesn't get enough exercise.

I have to come up with thousands of dollars to pay for it somehow even though I pay hundreds of dollars every month for insurance.

The index grades nations based on variables including life expectancy while imposing penalties on risks such as tobacco use and obesity. It also takes into consideration environmental factors including access to clean water and sanitation.

Nothing about eye Care. Good luck to your child though but that has nothing to do with our country being unhealthy.

Just ignore the fact that he has to pay thousands of dollars of upfront costs. Which of course you wouldn’t give a crap about because nothing is wrong so as long as we have the POSUS in office. Yes POSUS, not a typo.

It's pretty funny how we have posters here blaming tobacco and alcohol consumption for America's lower life expectancy when most of those countries listed above have higher tobacco and alcohol consumption rates than the United States.

It's almost like some posters have no idea what the hell they're talking about!

I was simply responding to your post that was talking about healthcare.

You're paying for it through taxes if not lol. Lol amazing how people don't understand that nothing in life is free. 52 trillion plus grows on trees.

Or here can you explaim how Bernie plans to pay for his medical for all plan? He don't even know yet but you still love him. He had said taxing you and I will pay for it though

For those of you who think America needs to do more to address obesity, you might be interested in Germany's health care model!

They provide universal health care to their population at about 12 percent of their GDP compared to our 19 percent GDP. Their life expectancy is higher than ours as well. So Germany gets universal care, better outcomes, and lower prices. They also still use health insurance.

However, what they do things differently because they view health care as a right, not a privilege.
  • Their health insurance companies are nonprofit and not connected to your employer. Why should health insurance be a for profit industry? Can anyone actually explain why? Why have we decided as a society that insurance should be tied to our place of employment?
  • Their health insurance companies provide different tiers of service. The cheaper plans provide basic care. The more expensive plans provide for gym memberships and spa treatments (obesity somewhat addressed). But the important thing is, you get to choose!
  • Their drug market is heavily regulated. You won't see insulin prices jacked up 1,000,000 percent overnight because stockholders want to make a lot of money, as you see here in the United States. Again, because they view health care as a right, not a privilege or an industry to exploit consumers.
So there you have it. A free market based health care model that doesn't require government to actually run healthcare. it provides better outcomes, lower costs, and more freedom!

For the first time ever I agree with Thriller. I may scoff at people like Warren's and Bernie's plan but I also think our current situation is garbage. Why replace garbage with garbage though?
