Following Potential 2020 draftees

A guy that might be worth our lousy 2nd round pick or brought to summer league as undrafted is Justian Jessup a 6'7" wing from Boise State. A scout at the SDSU game called him "Perhaps the next Kyle Korver." He dropped 22 on SDSU the No. 4 ramked team with 5-10 from 3.

Colonel Nathan Jessup’s son of course.

I have to admit I am liking what I see from Devin Vassell. 6'7" forward

13 ppg 1 bpg 1.4 spg 42% 3p 5.3 rbs

Defensive monster

i am sure pgab has mentioned him but i am liking him a lot

We don’t need another 6’6”-6’7” player.

Yeah we drafted with “BPA” with Bradley and it was dumb as ****.
Ok then let's go with the homer pick.

Yoeli Childs 6'8" of that shoots 51.4% from 3. 57% total. Although not great rebounding number at 8.4 and awful free throw percent at 53%.

He is averaging almost 21 a game with a block and almost a steal a game.

Has some injury concerns

The Stars have about 4 players with his skill set and all are better than him now.

This is simply not true, those players dont make him redundant it's much more the other way around, he's the one with the diverse skillset and the frame to pull it off, a true 3-n-d guy.... Those players are all in their mid 20's too. Vassell born in the summer of 2000.

Wings that can shoot defend and are long and athletic are FEW and far between in this draft... Vassell is one of the very best available..

Also, the claim that Vassell is rapidly improving is legit... which matters a lot..

Here is another option that might make some sense for the Jazz.

Paul Reed

He did shoot 40% from 3 last year but is back down to only 30% this year. Very skinny though.

I love the way he runs the floor the most.

I watch him a lot. Explosive jumper but no lateral quickness. That 51% from 3 is very very misleading. He is not a good shooter. A bad *** college player but not even close to a real NBA prospect.

I was watching the UNLV game after the Jazz game last night and UNLV has Naz younger brother a 6'1" grad transfer guard from Texas. He is feisty and almost got into with a rival player. He had a couple of all league years at Mount St Marys before going to Texas. He might be woth a summer league invitation.

I would love Paul Reed, great great player. Fairly young for a junior as well (will be turning 21 right around draft time)

Aleksej Pokuševski a dark horse pick for the Jazz.

The only reason I do not think he is a great fit yet is that he is about 2 years away. He is skinny and inconsistent from 3 but with some added strength and his form, i see him be a 38% 3 point shooter consistently. I think he could be a good player in the future though.

Vernon Carey obviously isnt a lotto pick. We can put that one to rest. If you watch him closely he uses too many pump fakes to try and get easy buckets and it just wont translate to the NBA quickly. Frankly he's probably not even a top-20 guy.

The ACC is weak this year and he's clearly one of the guys putting up big stats because of it.

Iowa's Luke Garza should be a fun player to watch down the stretch of this season + going into the draft. He could greatly improve his stock.
