Trade Gobert for Jaylen Brown then sign Montrez Harrell. That team has a better chance of a title than the current one.

You trade Gobert and you ain’t winning ****!!! Anything short of getting lucky and drafting the next LBJ isn’t going to work. Holy **** you’re dumb!!! You want to trade a top ten player for Brown. You’ve done lost your mind!!

If there’s a big trade to be made it’s to trade Mitchell, not that I’m saying we should, because we shouldn’t. That’s how you add a quick boost to the team, get a couple young promising talents and draft picks. One You don’t trade Gobert. That’s just crazy, and how some idiots don’t see this is beyond me!! Bunch of idiots running the asylum

You do. You trade Rudy. Don’t pay him the super-max and pivot to Donovan’s prime a few years away. You do. Donovan’s who you keep and it’s not really a question if that’s what it comes down to.

Would anyone do Donnie for Beal? Not saying the Wiz would but...
Idk. That's a tough one for me.
Gun to my head, I probably say no. I think Beal is currently a better player but I just like DM too much and still have hope that he has a lot of potential to still reach.

Edit: I also think DM has been playing out of position there majority of his career

I think it’s possible Rudy and Donovan work out their issues. I also think they’ve never worked all that seamlessly together and after this I just don’t think that will ever get significantly better. So here’s my question. In the situation it’s not going to work, and questions regarding Rudy’s payday. Would it be worth just fully showing Donovan 100% commitment to him, trading Rudy(hurts to type that), and trying to and hopefully sign Derrick Favors back at a reasonable price? You wouldn’t be quite as good. But Derek is a great center, is still 28, and tbh has a good relationship with Donovan by all accounts as well as keeps some financial flexibility open.
Are some people just being super dramatic, or is there actual evidence that these guys aren't able to get along and don't want to play on the same team?

Judging by how local reporters have went from “I’m not sure how bad it is” to “there are real issues between them that will have to be worked out” tells me with the more info they’ve got over the past week it’s very real. Tony basically said everything Woj reported was 100% correct and Andy Larsen basically said there are some who think they will work it out, and some who think it’s not so repairable.

I like the character of both of them. I believe they will work it out. I hate the idea of pulling the plug.

Rudy actually helps us ****ing win games!!!!!!! Where does this ****ing so called logic come from!!! You ****ing pay the guy that helps you win. That isn’t Mitchell that’s Rudy. You pay that man, you idiot. I don’t care that he isn’t an offensive juggernaut, he wins games!!! Mitchell scores a lot but usually takes a **** ton of shots to do it. That’s not great offense. You’ve got to be smarter than this??!!

Such stupidity. If Donovan is gone you are not winning a title under Rudy’s timeline. You are not. Donovan is young, marketable, and has not peaked yet. And is a far more versatile talent. Donovan absolutely wins you games and has done so. Cool win 45-50 regular season games and get blitzed by offenses in the playoffs. Sounds like where we’ve been since Stockton and Malone. Cool.

We're very unlikely to win a title one way or another. I don't understand why people act like all FO decisions need to be based around the idea that we're going to win the title. Or that we're even remotely likely to win the title.

We’re not likely too, but it should be the goal. If the Rudy/Donovan relationship is broken, I think you cash out on what assets you can get for Rudy and re-align with Donovan’s prime. You may need to trade/gain assets by trading a few other guys as well. Winning a title will be tough but I’d like to try.

It's not a very realistic goal. I look at this from a simple odds standpoint. What is more likely to happen? Us trading Rudy and winning the championship or us trading Rudy and missing the playoffs?

We're not the Lakers. We can't afford to gamble big knowing that even if we miss the playoffs 6 years in a row, superstars will be tripping over each other to come here.

Mitchell isn’t and probably never will be on the level of a curry or LBJ. He’s Allstar worthy, but never will be a superstar

Mitchell can’t carry a team to the title unless he becomes more efficient and starts shooting more than 2-4 ft’s a game

I’m not sure the Lakers are who you think they are. The last name they signed in free agency was Shaq

He is currently in season 3, and 23 years old.
