United States COVID-19 Tracker

We just crossed 200,000 people in the U.S. I think we’ll be at a million before the end of the month, possibly much earlier if Texas and California explode like I think they will.

I don't care what measures China took. With a population of 1.3 billion there is no way they contained this to just 87K infected.

I agree. I’m laughing at you saying this doesn’t look that bad for a link that’s entitled US Covid tracker. It’s bad. And the next week or two will be quite telling. We’re about to hit 25,000 cases a day probably today or tomorrow. We’re probably a few days away from hitting 1,000 deaths a day. I assume it’ll start to skyrocket in many other states like Texas and California where there are simply too many major cities. So yeah, unless we plateau at about 30,000 cases a day soon, this is gonna be ugly. If the trend instead continues for an additional week or two and rather than plateauing and coming down, it hits 35,000-45,000 cases a day, it’s gonna be super bad...and that isn’t considering how long the downward slope and stop takes. It doesn’t consider it reappearing either due to lack of total containment or other wave(s).

Basically it’s bad. We’ll know better by the end of next week (10-11 days from now) maybe just how bad.

I reckon we're about 2-3 weeks from REALLY feeling this everywhere (in the US).

My father-in-law made a good point about this yesterday to me and said "this could be the new norm." Meaning, this could be like the flu or cold that mutates every year so if that's true, what do we do? Are concerts performed digitally only? As with sporting events? Are there no more big congregated groups of people for events period? It might be.

Florida is going to get wrecked with their older population and lack of government officials doing anything (their governor literally said he would only do something if recommended to do by the WH). Their stay at home goes in effect Friday, but the damage has already been done.

For those planning trips, one of my travel agent friends told me to go ahead and cross June off your calendar if you think theme parks or national parks will be ready for you.

For latest stats, I've been using this. Brutal.

Our administration simply wasn't prepared for this. Stop deflecting, start accepting accountability.

Deaths will be in the 100’s of thousands in the US, if we’re lucky.

Millions dead worldwide.

Economically.....worldwide recession, at best.

Hold on everyone.
