ESPN's NBA2K Tournament Is Must See TV

He should have taken a better team when he knew he picked the Lakers.

he was all confident going into it saying he was really good at 2k lol. I can’t believe he lost first round.

He was rollin with KD, just had some bad turnovers at the end
Choose the Bucks lol. Yesterday he said he was using the Jazz for sure. Maybe he deserved to lose for not doing so.

Yeah, he should have gone with Jazz. Two guys - Sabonas and Montrezl Harrell - played as their own team and it was pretty funny to watch. It was also odd -- and sort of post-modern art. Very strange to see a guy control his own self...and yell at his own self.

I wish Mitchell would have played as the Jazz. Would love to have heard the cracks he makes against his own teammates. Or he should have taken the Bucks. They haven't lost yet.

Still a fun game. His game was the closest of them all. Actual strategy came into play towards the end.

Mitchell mentioned that he plays more on the playground in the game than team based games. I think it was playground he would go farther.

Dude, I see you ain't exactly up on current events. Rudy has the virus. A very contagious virus, I might add. Would you want to play against him in a tournament?

My God, Rudy Gobert single-handedly shut down the entire world. And you want him now to participate in a fun tournament? I'd say Rudy should just lay low for a long while. No soup for him. One day maybe four or five years from now we will welcome Gobert back into society, but as for now, no soup for him.
How dumb are you??? First off, going to ignore the whole playing online with him won't get you sick. Second, Mitchell also HAD the virus. Key word here, HAD. Rudy also HAD the virus and has tested negative for it, so, he does not have it anymore. I know you're just a troll, but come on, up your game a bit.

1. The only area I truly qualify as being dumb is the team I root for in basketball. Apart from that, I am at genius level in everything I do. You should hear me talk about James Bond films. Art director for LIVE AND LET DIE...Syd Cain. That knowledge makes one a genius. I am a genius.

2. This is a novel virus, meaning new. We do not know everything about this virus including if you can catch it by playing against somebody in a video game. The research has not been completed on that yet. It is most likely that even if you are in a different state, playing Gobert in a video game can lead to you getting the virus. Dr. Fauci has not cleared that up yet.

3. Science lesson 101: viruses can not be killed, they can only be suppressed. Rudy will always have the corona bug in him. Like Herpes or HIV, you never rid yourself of a virus, just suppress it. So when you say "HAD the virus" the reality is "HAS the virus."

From ESPN:

Conley analysis (Grade: A)
Conley announced his presence as a serious contender to win this tournament, thanks to two big advantages: his off-hand dominance and an indoor gym in his Columbus home. Although primarily left-handed, Conley prefers to shoot floaters with his right hand, and he picked up four of the five letters on "off-hand" shots. It didn't hurt that Conley was in controlled conditions indoors while Catchings was dealing with wind and other elements outside. However, Conley also showed off a classic HORSE trick shot, going over the backboard from behind on the run -- with his off hand, of course.

I enjoyed it. It wasn't great TV, but it was a decent competition.

I liked it too.

I mean, I never expected it to be some crazy level of excitement. It was basketball players having some fun while in isolation. I liked that Trey doesn't even have a proper court, just a hoop in a driveway like all of us when we were kids. I like that Pierce still bleeds green to the point of having a Celtics logo in Calabasas. I liked seeing their kids help them out. I liked the rare bit of LGBTQ presence on ESPN, as I'm pretty sure I recognized Quigley's wife and teammate Vandersloot taping her. I liked that the quality was bad because no matter how much money you make, you still can't get a better phone or internet than I can. I guess maybe you can get a diamond case.

I thought it was telling that both Catchings and Quigley have regular houses like mine and yours. For all their lip service to gender equality, (W)NBA pays those women peanuts.

Also, I thought all the NBA players wanted to live in California because of the nice weather. It looked like it was worse in California than in Indiana, of all places.

The video quality on the first one was so bad i turned it off. Missed Conley's but watched LaVine/Pierce and quality got better. LaVine looked like he practiced for this and he smoked Pierce. Will I watch the semifinals? Maybe

I started watching during Conley's match. He has a sweet indoor court. Everyone else was on outdoor courts. I imagine I'll watch the next round. Hoping Quigley smokes the boys.
