What's new

Video Game Thread

I've got a good 600k, what I really need is more troops, at the moment I can only lead 150 men, need 200 to 300 hundred of hardened troops to conquer the map.
One trick I learned is to increase leadership by creating armies. It's harder to do when you have your own kingdom because you have to spend influence to do it, otherwise you can use your companions to lead armies for free.

Same. My only real complaint is one faction quickly reaching a point where their power snowballs and they streamroll the map.

I hate that as well but they keep pushing updates so hopefully they will scale that back a bit.

Anyone nerds here play Hearthstone? This latest update has ****ed me lmao. Can't make a good deck to save my life.

God of War is collecting dust in my bookshelf. I just can't find the time or willingness to play video games anymore. Last few games I played were Civilization V and Battlefield I & V (terrible game). Loved the Uncharted series.

GOW is a phenomenal game. It's also an interesting play as it's much harder in the first 25% of the game than the remaining game as you start to build skills and become more powerful.

BOI

I know!. I love the saga and bought that game with huge expectations. But I'm a bit busy these days and I kinda feel guilty if I turn on the PS4. I can spend hours playing so I avoid to even touch the ps4.

Yeah, the armor stuff confused me at first but I ended up building the infinity gauntlet, lol.

Only thing I didn't enjoy that much about it were the Muspelheim and Nifheim realms. I am not into arena stuff and challenges. But they are optional, anyways.

I waited until the endgame and did those getting the Mist Armor and tackling the Valkyries. Wasn’t a huge fan of continuously farming in Nilheim for mist echoes.

I tend to buy games once they’ve been out a while and cheap, pass them and sell them on eBay. No sense in hanging on to them. Only game I’ve bought new on PS4 was RDR2.

Son is serious about his super smash bros ultimate, been playing it all day today as Ryu.

This game is cool as chilean chilled cucumbers, it has old school nintendo designed levels with new school characters, its like a revamped blast from the past.

Zoo Planet is a truly magnificent/impressive game.. Lotta care and skill went into making this thing. If you have lil kids who like animals, this will probably blow their minds..

IMO possibly the best game that released in 2019.

I'm sick of Unreal Engine tbh, at least for games with 'competitive integrity'. Good product dont get me wrong, it's just been tainted by hackers over the years.

This new Riot game they are gonna probably give 2020 GOTY to, Valorant, is built on UE4, and they made all sorts of wild claims about the anti-cheat, and it's super invasive on your computer and guess what ---- it's already completely overrun with hackers...

and with the way these games work, the better you do the more likely you are to face cheaters... it's really a viscous cycle thats rather deflating.

The hacks of today dont interact with the game files. Its not based on the pixels in your screens, they actually go thru straight to your computers memory and parse the info being sent. so with stuff like UE once they figure out how to crack this sorta thing, it's like the cats out of the bag..

I'm absolutely loving this new baseball game, it's definitely worth the $45.... Hands-down the best unlicensed sports game ive ever played, it's way better than the licensed games by 2k and EA out these days IMO.

Cyberpunk will win GOTY 2020.

I'm all for it. I actually dont like Valorant much at all(I got a key on the 2nd day of beta), it's just so slow and rewards you for playing even slower than that.... There's really nothing original about Valorant either, its a Counter Strike 1.6 reskin with some watered down Overwatch abilities slapped on. would be a shame for it to really sweep all the awards, it's too big to fail tho, will be huge in Asia.
