What's new

2020 Presidential election

This program "Rising" by The Hill has been progressive, vocally supporting Bernie Sanders for the past year. I'll just leave this here.

It bears mentioning that both these folks were frequent MSM contributors - especially Ball who was all over the place. My guess is if MSNBC offered her Rachel Maddow's job tomorrow, she'd leave skid marks on the way to their studios.

As far as "Russia-gate" fails I'm sure there was some over-reaching. But I would urge people - read the report. You can probably knock off the redacted version in a couple of hours. And then tell me with a straight face that you're completely comfortable with the volume of meetings and the content of the meetings that Team Trump had with Russian operatives that were clearly up to no good.

Seems like a well done ad by the Biden campaign....

That’s a really well done ad. I actually think it could’ve been a little longer and more detailed with early March to mid-April sound bytes. Too long and people’s’ attention spans wander though.

True we don’t already have social security, free public education, and a zillion other social policies that have been in place for decades and decades. It’s amazing how much of a ****ing moron you are and how you’d literally suck Trump’s dick.

Or let me put it another way. You would have been a loser ****ing Tory.

You don't even need to read the whole report to get that sense. Just read the executive summaries to the two sections...takes 30 minutes max...the fact that they were able to bury this is going to astound future political scientists. History will not be kind.

It blows my mind that the two best candidates for president we have is Donald Trump and Joe Biden. It’s almost unfathomable.
Agreed.
We could probably randomly pick a name out of a hat that holds every persons name in the USA and get a better candidate.

I don't think I can recall a single more important VP selection than Biden's VP selection.

I think Biden will win, based simply on the fact that Trump is so disliked. If you asked me in early January if I'd vote for Trump against Sanders (the presumed nominee), I'd probably say Trump. You ask me that question today, and I would vote for my cat over Trump - and my cat is dead. His response to COVID-19 has been an absolute disaster, and we're just starting to feel the real economic pain. By November? Good lord it'll get ugly.

Biden is leading all over the map based solely on the fact that he's not Trump. He needs some young energy - obviously. If his VP pick is a female (which he said it would be) and a female of color (quite possible - Harris most likely) than I don't think Trump can beat him. At this point, he's hardly campaigning, as it's more advantageous for his campaign to just let Trump continue to self destruct. I'm personally stunned at how inept Trump has been over the past 3 months... just 1000% reinforced every bad aspect about him.

I think Trump has been completely inept since day one. How anyone could look at him and think he is qualified to be our President is beyond me. I'd give him credit if he made some attempt to learn on the job, but he's so sure he's got a good brain and is a stable genius that he doesn't think he has anything to learn.

You are projecting.

Zero republican representatives voted for the Obama stimulus bill that mitigated the great recession. Their stated number 1 priority was defeating Obama. Higher priority than our economic well being. Their words, not mine.

Those same representatives who tried to block stimulus with a Dem POTUS (ostensibly because of the deficit) voted for annual trillion dollar deficits under a Repub POTUS and for trillions more for COVID 19.

They are motivated solely by power and could give a crap about the well being of regular Americans. They are an embarrassment.
