Interesting...

edit: also hiring Keyon Dooling in a player development role

Hmmm. Anybody know Demps’s history with coaching? I don’t think he has any.

Obviously GMs have a very robust relationship with players’ agents.... kinda wondering if the org isn’t tripling down on that kind of advantage with DL, Zanik, and Demps in the fold.

There is 0 way for fans to know if an assistant coach is good at his job other than the words you get from other coaches/players/execs.

Don't know much about him, but I'm glad to gain someone instead of lose another person. His connections will probably be nice to have, and as an assistant coach I'm sure he'll do just fine. If Quin trusts him as a coach, I trust him.

Interesting. Both guys have history with Quin. Demps was a ****** GM, but coaching is obviously very different.

Couple things on Dooling, followed him on twitter and he's followed by a lot of NBA players. Big mental health advocate. Seems like he has good relationships with players.

Same story says also that Keyon Dooling! is coming aboard. Looks like he might be replacing Johnnie Bryant doing guard development.

He'll be working with Donovan a lot. Hope Donovan likes him.
Tony Jones says he's one of the nicest guys he covered/met. Guess he knew him in Orlando.

He played for Quin I guess in college... I mean at least he knew the Cocaine Quin... he might have some fun stories at least.

I really like both hires. And yeah, if it helps increase the odds of Favors coming back even slightly, I'm all over it.

Seeing as Favors didnt like playing in NOLA that much I dont see how hiring anyone from his year in NOLA would have any positive factor in him coming to Utah (though I doubt it would have a negative either).

As Tony has said, it’s really going to come down to money and what the Jazz decide to do. Favs would like to be back regardless of the money is here.
