No... the new guy coming in would have the sam cap hit as Morgan and we have to get to 14 players.

It’s almost impossible unless Dok took 80% of his slot instead of 120% which is the normal MO.

You’d have to trade someone making more than the minimum for less salary. I think we may have had some sloppy accounting from the management team here. I’d think you’d either get Favs and JC to take like 200-300k less each and trade the first for a high second and slot the salary at 898 instead of $2M or agree that Udoka takes 1.3M instead of 2M.

To be barely in the tax with a repeater tax on the horizon if you keep the core together is poor financial planning. If they want to pay for it then fine but if it means we offload talent and picks later for budget reasons then it’s a problem.

Doesn't make sense to be barely in the tax... either fill out the roster or get under the tax. Anything in between in the worst kind of penny pinching.

Only if we could do a Eric Maynor type of trade for Udoka...

I think the tax is based on total salary, not the salary calculated for the purposes of the cap. Bring in a person with less salary could possible put us under the tax even if the cap hit were the same.
 
He wasn't good here in his limited play and I'm guessing also wasn't impressing anyone in practice. He probably wants to try to get more time else where and Jazz want a player than can help more. Best of luck to him both parties are better off with this.
 
Shaq was released cuz we giving out too many scholarships... pretty soon we will not have to worry about all that student loan debt because Ryan will just be funding everybody's college.

I wonder if all these scholarships are deductible from tax and that's why we are giving them lol.
 
I believe Mountain America has filed for BK because of all the threes we are hitting.

It will absolutely be structured as a charitable donation, so fully tax deductible. Only question is does it hit the Jazz books or RS directly.
