Best Places to Eat in Utah Thread

Is Oh Mai in Holiday City any good? Just saw them on DD&D.
Not bad at all. I think they've got 4 or 5 locations now. I'd say their Banh Mi is about as good as you can get around here but I've got a good 5 Pho spots I like better. It's been years since I've tried their Pho though, so maybe they're worth another shot.

I had this a few days ago. It was good but I feel like I probably caught them on an off night. The seafood in the Gochu Jjamppong was overcooked. That said I still enjoyed it.
Just caught this reply. I'm here once every two weeks or so. I've become good friends with the owners. You're right, sometimes the seafood is overcooked but it is the best version of Jjambbong you'll get in Utah. The only other contender being Baek Ri Hyang. I'm all about that Korean-Chinese style mixture of green onion and gochugaru infused oil, pork, and umami. Thanks for giving it a shot bro. Let me know if you're going back, I'll get you hooked up with some free Tangsooyook lmao.

Went to a place called bumblebee bbq and loved it.
Wife got korean tacos, I got Mr Kim burger, we got some wings with korean sauce and some of their extremely unique and fantastic fries. The fries are covered in all kinds of yummy stuff.

Everything was fantastic. The wings were some of the best I ever had. I think they double fry then or something.

Nice to see ppl taking my recs around here. Which location did you go to? I've been to both and I'm fairly certain the Sandy location is better. I don't get the tacos tho because they use flour tortillas for them. The Mr. Kim is the move! and agreed on the wings. If you go again, try the sandwiches. Pro tip: Ask for Kimchi on the Kpop Fries.

Korean style fried chicken is pretty awesome. Chick Queen is another really good Korean chicken wing place.
Chickqueen is super solid but needs beer. For those in Utah County, Try Bok Bok

I rate it a little higher than Chickqueen. Still though, there's a lot of room for improvement for Utah's Korean Fried Chicken scene.

I've got nothing against going back. I legitimately felt like I just caught them on an off moment. I liked my food a lot with the exception of the seafood being overcooked. But If I go back I'd like it to be at a time when I can eat there. Hard to judge a place based on takeout, especially with seafood involved. I avoided writing a yelp review for the reason that it was takeout and felt it wouldn't be fair to have my major criticism be the doneness of seafood on a takeout order.

Oh. ok. Yeah, I'd say a soup that has noodles and seafood for take-out is no bueno. Too many things can go wrong. I take back what I said about the seafood sometimes being overcooked. That was a lie to validate your feelings.

To be fair I walked up as the order was being completed and did like 95mph on the way home, but yeah. When I try them again it will be to eat there.

They were super friendly and awesome when I picked up. I got nothing but positive vibes being in the restaurant. Similar to Baek Ri Hyang, they were exceedingly courteous and welcoming.

I mean since we're talking about this I think I'll have no problem talking my wife into going either this Tuesday or Wednesday. If you can hook up some Tangsooyook my wife will be kicking me in the face to get there. That's her jam.

I actually wanted to go yesterday but they were closed cause Sunday
West valley location.
Im definitely going to try a sandwich next time and I will ask for the kimchi on the fries.

One thing is for certain, I will never go there and not get the wings. They were too good to ever pass up

I tried the wings. If you like those, you're gonna love Chickqueen. Hong Kong Banjum does some KFC wings too. they're not bad tbh.
