I think the people trashing Favors genuinely don't understand how impactful of a defender Gobert is, and how not-great our non-Conley guard defenders are.

Last year, it was turnstyle city when Gobert was on the bench. We all thought Tony Bradley was one of the worst defensive centers in NBA history. Then he goes to Philly and suddenly he's pretty serviceable for them on that end.

We're regularly putting Favors in situations where he's having to guard 2 players in PnR after the guard gets beat - not to mention we're giving him a huge chunk of minutes against opposing starters - something we never did last year with our backup bigs, because it meant death.

Favors is solid.

He scored 8 points on him from 2:09 left in the 1st to 5:43.

lol, Nate is holding it against Favors for stopping Jaden McDaniels heading towards the basket on a fastbreak that resulted in a kickout KAT 3.

That's like saying you're Hyundai isn't crappy at pulling a trailer cause you compare it to a Peterbuilt.

Royce is making better decisions with the ball. His confidence seems high right now. This is the Royce we need!

And he's guarding the best scoring center in the NBA. KAT can dump points on anyone in flashes. He's done a good job on him.

Went back to watch it. Ingles stopped McDaniels, Favors stood there and watched Towns pull-up from deep.

KAT now has a monstrous 7 points on 3/7 shooting in 7 minutes when matched up directly against Favors.

Well, it was 8 points in 4 minutes. But whose counting.
In the 1st quarter, Favors entered the game at 6:07 and exited the game at 1:10. KAT also scored a fastbreak 3 in that stretch whilst not matched up directly against Favors.

But who's counting.

Gonna need a strong 3rd to put them away.
