What's new

He's a good defender. He's been breaking the paint and making plays. He's a smart player who doesnt turn the ball over and is able to drive and kick.
He lacks the lateral quickness to be a good defender. He is not breaking the paint. He one time caught Cameron Payne without help he finished at the rim just because he is 6'4 and Payne is 6'1. After that play, Cameron Payne did take the ball and run 94 feet made a layup over Forrest. He is not ready at all.

who's in competition with Clarkson for SMOY? he's really been making that award up for grabs with his second half season's performances

He's an rookie bruh. He's learning the pro game. He's going to have growing pains. He has plenty of lateral quickness.

The jazz have been playing 500 ball for a while now. That doesn't portend well for a long run in the playoffs.
Close. They're 9-7 in April.

What's worse is that three of those losses have come against non-playoff teams - and another against a depleted Lakers team.

I can forgive that Lakers loss - even the Mavs loss (tho, at the time, it looked like a bad loss). But those three losses, one to the Wiz and two to the Wolves, is just awful and likely cost 'em the top seed.

The WOlves and Wizards losses werent that bad. Both those teams have way worse records than their overall talent level because of injuries.

Of course, we can't expect a rookie to play flawlessly. He has the right to make mistakes. My problem is not that he is a rookie. I think he doesn't have enough potential as a basketball player. Maybe if he was a great shooter he would have a chance in the NBA.

People freaking out about the #1 seed or our last few games while we are missing two of our best players

I don't think the team care that much at this point about seeding. Having Donovan and Conley healthy for the playoffs is way more important.
