NON-JAZZ NBA PLAYOFF thread

Kid was definitely ready to play real rotation minutes for us from day one. That energy and hustle just translates for any NBA team. Unlike our guys who are three year away from being three year away from seeing any real NBA actions.
He was a rotation player last two years... you see how he’s playing now... he played some pg and guards basically anyone. Did a great job on Donovan a couple times. He’s the type that can help cover an injury to almost anyone because he fills in all the cracks. Just bonkers that DL didn’t figure out we needed one guy like this...

We wouldn’t go past the Suns anyways cuz they can go small. Monty isn't afraid of placing Ayton on the shelf.

I’m not convinced we would have beat them. I think we would with a healthy DM, but they would have abused us deep as Ayton has decent range.

His contract expires this summer. It'd be real foolish of Nets if they don't bring him back. But the Jazz need to jump on the opportunity and offer him the biggest money possible. Having him instantly pushes Royce back to a more reserve role, where he belongs.
We can offer two years at 5.7m. The taxpayer MLE. It might go three years... can’t remember. Likely not enough... he’s restricted... had we traded for him we’d have bird rights. Sigh

Remember when JazzFanz said PJ Tucker was washed?
11 points 5 rebounds and 6 fouls in 38 minutes. Pretty much an all star.
For the year he averaged 20 minutes per game, shot 39% from the field (60% from the free throw line), averaged 2.6 points per game, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game

He is super fiesty and an annoying disrupter. I will give him that.

There is this one specific formula against the Jazz that most playoffs teams can use to produce winning results. Especially in a seven game series, if the opposition team is capable of pulling it off, the Jazz doesn't stand a chance regardless of how well DM plays. I mean, the man has already averaged well over 30 points in this series and it still doesn't matter. You have to ask the prime Michael Jordan to come here through a time machine to maybe produce something even better.

You aren’t paying him to do anything besides play defense and to shoot threes. You conveniently left off that he shot 39.4% from three this year. He would be our best perimeter defender and did a helluva job guarding Durant this series.

He makes 2M less than Favors this year for ****s sake.

He shot 32% from the field in this series and 24% from 3.
27% from three in the first round
He is a good defender though. That is some pretty horrible offense though. Who is he playing instead of for us?

Lol Niang and Oni for two.

When Clippers went small we could have put Tucker at the 5. We are in the WCF if we have Tucker instead of Favors this year.
