What's new

Rumor: Warriors have interest in trading for Ingles if made available by the jazz.

In light of the Gay signing:

If the Warriors made that offer on Bogey, I’d pull the trigger without blinking. Bogey would be a deadly get for them as well.

Just to put it out there: Looney is a far better player than Paschall right now (though perhaps a lower ceiling), and is only a few months older. He and Paschall are DM's age. And he managed to play 61 games last year.

Honestly at this point, I'd argue (taking in to account my undying love for Joe) this actually makes Bojan way more valuable.
The perimeter still needs to be addressed, he's still one-dimensional, and probably has higher trade value.
Regardless of sentiment, Bojan makes more sense as trade bait.
I agree. I would rather trade Bojan.

Lol guys what in the **** is wrong with some of you. Ingles is an expiring contract and probably retires at the end of the year.

Moody is the exact type of player we need.
This is the only reason I give pause to saying yes to a deal like this. Even if he does resign in a year, when does he drop off. He’s getting into that age range in a year or two. How long is too long to hold onto him, especially since he has value now.

One thing that worries me is he had his best year last year, does he begin a slow decline? The problem is that it feels like we taking our name off of the contention list doing this.

Ingles can’t play starters minutes but Bogey can. **** giving GS Bogey.

Reports are we would rather deal Ingles anyways.

Yeah, but if you lose Ingles you lose a playmaker for others. That would basically leave teh Jazz with just Conley and Mitchell who can do that, and maybe rookie Jared Butler.

Losing Ingles is kind of scary as his playmaking and passing is a huge part of the Jazz identity. If the Jazz lose Ingles, they are probably a bottom 10 passing team in the NBA.

Thank you.

I think it is hard to overstate how crucial Ingles is to this team.

If moody is available it makes a lot of sense. But man it would suck because Ingles is an optimal fit for Golden State and it would make them really good, especially if Klay is healthy. This is a team we are going to have to go through next year. Trades between conference competitors don’t happen often for a reason. You make golden state better and then they beat us in the post season, there’s hell to pay.

Bogey probably doesn’t work salary-wise, though (unless it’s a MUCH bigger deal that includes Wiggins).

Hmph.

Thank you.

I’ve said this multiple times, but it seems like it needs repeating:

One of the ways to gloss the failures of our FO over the previous three offseasons is to mention how they were unable to make us less dependent on Joe.

So now all of the sudden there’s smoke about us being willing to trade him?

Something doesn’t add up.

If the circumstances were different, this would be a perfect deal (assuming it includes Moody), but if you’re all in for a championship this year I don’t think you can do it. Joe is too important to running our offense.

Yeah, Bogey is a tough move salary-wise everywhere.

Bogey for Kuminga, Looney, Paschal, and Moody Moses (errr Moosey Mody) works salary-wise and saves us a little money. Who says no? Lol

Ingles is awesome there is a reason why we’re even having this discussion because he’s worth it but doubt they do it regardless.

They do lmao. Zero chance we get Kuminga and Moody.

The trade doesn’t happen if Ingles isn’t more ready to help a championship team now than whatever we get in return.

Which means this move would really go against what the Jazz are supposed to be trying to do this year. While also really helping another West team get there instead.

All that said though. Not sure I could turn down Moody. And I still like the idea of Paschall.
