NBA Playoffs

Hes 37 - so his defense isn't what it once was. However, the Mavs weren't able to be successful on every possession doing it, which speaks wonders to his ability even at 37.

Last night felt like a very typical desperation Game 3 from the home team.

The Suns statistically beat the Mavs in every major category last night, but turned it over 17 times to the Mavs 8. CP3 had 7 of them in the first half, which is the most hes ever had in his career.

Mavs played well, but that "felt" very fluky - I don't think the Suns lose again in this series.
Yeah, he is 37 but I didn't think his individual defense would be this poor. He gut attacked in the Pels series too. Suns have good defenders in Bridges and Ayton. There is also Crowder who plays with energy and Booker has stepped up so it's not much of an issue but the Suns are working towards hiding him and helping when necessary.

Suns are just the better team, CP3's defense isn't going to lose them this series so may be he is just taking it easy knowing Mavs can't consistently punish it. It could also become a much bigger issue against the Warriors or Grizzlies.

How many playoff teams could the Jazz have beat in a seven game series? I’d say none in the West. Maybe the Hawks, and the Raptors were probably a good matchup for us.

We stink.

Nah, Quin had some secret weapons he was going to release. We could have beat anyone else.

Maybe Denver in the west but that’s with 2/3 of their stars out and it’d probably go at least 6. Had they been healthy, they’d blow us out.

Maybe Chicago or the Raptors in the east. Although I think it’s a toss up. Chicago could get rolling and beat us. I don’t think we even beat the hawks. Even as mediocre as they are, Trey Young would average 60 pts against us.

We were by far the slowest and least athletic team in the playoffs AND the least intense. There was zero excitement from our team. Zero effort or intensity. I haven’t ever seen a Jazz team less excited to be in the playoffs. We were lifeless.

Would playing adams help against this zone? He’s a decent passer and his ability to offensive rebound might help. Or would he just bog things down? In that case, why not go super small and make jackson the center and insert another guard? Not seeing Clark or Tillman being effective against this Warriors zone.

Kerr is Putting on a clinic. Changing into a zone changing his lineup. Why didn’t our coach ever mess with our defense throughout the year? Thought we were gonna try out some new things this year?

Forgot the Bulls. But then I think of Demar and Lavine against our perimeter D. Toast.

Murray would have come back early to play if it had been the Nuggets. He wouldn’t miss the chance to play like MJ.

"When you're a sore loser, you're a sore loser," Suns head coach Monty Williams said. "That's just the way it is. I don't see anybody in the playoffs that's like, 'Man, I just love the way we lost today.' I just don't see that."

Monty clearly has not seen any of Quin Snyder's postgame interviews

Honestly you’re probably right. Chicago to me didn’t look very excited to be in the playoffs. But I’m sure their backcourt would’ve loved destroying us. So in all likelihood that leaves with us:

1. Denver
2. Atlanta
3. Toronto

As teams we might’ve been able to beat.

Teams that wouldve only given up 1 game (maybe) to beat us?

1. Brooklyn
2. Boston
3. Milwaukee
4. Philly
5. Miami
6. Golden State
7. Phoenix
8. Memphis
9. Dallas (had luka been healthy)
10. New Orleans (sorry, but I think their length is a nightmare matchup for us. CJ and Ingram would kill us while Herb and Hayes locked Spida and Bogey down)

I am genuinely curious what this was and when he planned to use it if it was real. Maybe it was just playing better in the playoffs in closing time. I would be so interested to hear Snyder's reasoning behind a lot. He's obviously a smart guy but a lot of stuff doesn't make sense. I get that you think he was just playing the numbers which was probably true in sometimes but other times he was going against that reasoning by a lot. Maybe it was the players as well.

We'll never know I guess.

I don’t think a single team.
What do you think would’ve happened had we played the nuggets or Raptors in the first round? Those two teams seemed like some of the weaker ones. TBH, we looked clearly like the slowest and most lifeless team in the entire playoffs. I saw every team play at least once too.

Quin never said anything about secret weapons. It was Bogey who said the club had some. I don't think he ever mentioned Quin, at least not in the articles I saw but I couldn't find the whole interview.

Quin isn’t the only idiot. Ja shouldn’t have been in last night when he hurt his knee in a game that was over.

GSW wins this series in 6 IMO.

I think we beat Denver…. Jokic was on fumes after carrying those g league guys.

Its really pretty simple. If we shoot like we did against the mavs then we coukdnt beat anyone. If we shoot a good percentage then we could beat quite a few teams.
