NBA Playoffs

Is anyone else not excited about the teams that can now win it all? I was hoping that it could be a team that hadn’t won for a long time or ever. All of these teams have won relatively recently or had a chance too. I liked when the bucks and raptors won. I can’t really get behind any of these teams.

I like boston and miami rosters a lot. I like to watch golden state play. Im good with any of those. Rooting for both the eastern conference teams equally. I like them both quite a bit

I think Quin did a better job of it. At least, Conley's problems didn't feel physical to me.

Conley had only 30 games with 30+ minutes. Chris Paul had 49. And you could make the argument that Jazz had more incentive to play their guys because they needed some unity.

Agreed

I mean, you’re not saying he drinks his own pee for sure, you’re just asking the question as it’s possible he drinks his own pee. Can we not ask these questions?
Oh I'm pretty sure.

Yeah GSW are fun to watch but them destroying the league for several years left a bad taste in my mouth. I was hoping their reign was about over. But when Klay got injured they were able to pick up a lot of good pieces. They'll probably win the west and likely the finals. I do like how Miami plays and their toughness. Wish the Jazz had a player like Butler. When we got eliminated I was rooting for the Bucks or Suns. Now I don't really care lol.

Yeah, screw GS. They tanked and got Barnes and built a good roster. Because they drafted well, they were able to buy KD when they choked up 3-1. They lose Klay, then they tank their way into some more draft talent.

Screw GS. Amazing GM work, but zero dignity in tanking. Zero.

Boston has 3 guys I have wanted to get the last few years - Horford, Theiss, and Grant Williams.

Hustle biggish guys who are a threat from 3. They play so damn hard and can defend pretty much all levels. So well built.

this whole celtics rotation with the exception of Derrick Whites are signed/drafted by Ainge. Even Payton Pritchard is having himself a game.

gotta give credit to the Heat though. The way Celtics been playing that first half, you thought it would be a blow out. But Heat hanged around and creeped back into the game right when Celtics energy level started to drop.

It's wild to me that Gabe Vincent looks equal or better than Derrick White.

White's kind of been a disappointment this year.

But I thought playoff success would be impossible for a team with an offensively limited center with no outside shot and a wing who doesn't shoot threes.

Who'd have thought just having a few players on the perimeter who don't play matador defense would be a good thing?

If we'd have gotten them they'd probably become passive and lazy on defence as it seems to be our identity outside of gobert. That or Quin would have just had them ride pine.

Exactly. Our issue isn’t interior defense. Whiteside and Gobert and Doka when he’s healthy are solid rim protectors (who are exploited on the perimeter). The main issue is that we have 4 traffic cones out there who let anyone and everyone drive past them. The perimeter defense of the remaining teams is impressive. Their worst defensive breakdowns are still better than our best defensive efforts. It’s frankly just amazing how few steals and transition bucks we generate.

There haven't been a lot of really close, competitive games this year...it's kind of disappointing.

Most of the Boston/Bucks games were down to the last possession. Tha Mavs Suns series was extremely competitive. Even the Warriors/Grizz series had close games with Ja healthy. The openers got the Conf finals were duds. But I’ve found this playoff to be very competitive. Much better than the boring KD led Warriors and Lebron led Cavs snooze fest years.
