Gobert to Minnesota

If the Jazz trade Donovan and three picks to BRK, they could control the KD market. The return on that would be considerable. Just sayin...

Pairing KD with Rudy was a strong win-now thought. But getting KD now would be a monumental waste of everything we have been doing. We need to either move Mitchell for more assets and let the rebuild begin, or truly try to build around Mitchell, but to get KD for, what, 3 or 4 partial years with his injury history? And by giving up all the assets we would need to build around him as well. Dumb to go after KD now unless you can somehow do so and hold onto Mitchell as well.

Leandro Bolmaro is viewed as a throw in but was the 23rd pick in 2020 came over last year.

Player: Leandro Bolmaro

Position: SG

Height: 6'7"

Weight: 182 lbs

Pro Comparison: Joe Ingles

Scouting Report: Even without a lot of reps against high-level competition, Leandro Bolmaro has stood out to scouts for his 6'7" size, ball-handling and flashy passing. The NBA loves playmaking wings and multipositional defenders, and if Bolmaro can just go from capable to competant as a three-point shooter, his two-way versatility should lead to a long career.
It's a small NBA sample size, but he's at 33.3% 2pt FG% and 27.8% from 3.
Without watching his game, there are no stats that jump out as "hey, I'm an NBA player" yet.

There could be hope but he seems pretty raw and unfinished, or just not an NBA player.

I still hold out a small hope that he's going to blossom into someone that gets more than 7 minutes a game for the 35 games he played in last year.
Unless there are more roster moves, he won't get the playing time.

This hurts, but it’s the right move. This is a **** ton of picks, and with Gobert’s contract, this was probably the only chance to move him and get maximum assets back. That contract is only getting bigger as he ages. I think we sent him to a good situation where he can compete too.

As a few others pointed out—it’s ultimately not Gobert’s fault this had to happen. The Conley trade didn’t work out, and now we had no choice but to move at least one of our stars. It’s too bad. I’ll always love Gobert. I hope he and towns kill it next season.

He was a rookie 1st round pick, not a bad guy to add when we've been devoid of any young talent forever.

Lol calm down. Minnesota just overpaid like a ************. We literally own their entire draft future. This was a deal you give for a young superstar.
You’re right! OG and Trent straight up? That’s was an insult! Ainge has proven his value to this franchise.

Kudos to Finch, Demps and Connely for the vision and balls to step out and try something different with KAT. I truly wish them nothing but the best - love to see Rudy get his ring! No reason we both can’t prosper in the years ahead. Minny just gave us a future when it was starting to look bleak!

I would have done Russell instead of Beasley and Beverly… Or included Conley and done Russell and Beasley or Beverly. But otherwise that is a lot of value for Gobert. He is a unique and incredible force. I will miss seeing him in Jazz Uniform.

- We have to be going in to full tank mode, right? How else does this make sense. Assuming that's the case, very well done Danny.
- I'm confused on taking this deal if we aren't going in to full tank mode. There were likely much better win now moves available, plus we basically ignored all of the good options in free agency.
- I wonder what Alex Jensen could do with Kessler, assuming he stays on with the new coaching staff.

- I would have loved to see us win a championship with Gobert. We likely don't see a player with a better overall impact than him in a long time.
