Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

When your team B's success has a direct impact on your so called team A then it is a sign that you aren't really a fan of team A. No real fan cheers for another teams success when it has a direct negative impact on your so called favorite team.
I feel sorry for the people with brains too simple to realize it's a win/win.

If Gobert succeeds, I'm happy for him. If the Wolves struggle, then the Jazz get a better pick. I'm going to enjoy either outcome, and in the meantime laugh at the morons trying to gatekeep fandom.

At least you folks are putting the fan in fanatic.

If we are dealing in absolutes then no one can cheer for the Jazz to keep Mitchell. It’s clear we took our shot and missed. We are a treadmill team at this point and are several players away from competing for a championship. If you don’t support blowing it up, get assets and rebuild then you aren’t a Jazz fan… do you get how that sounds?

We all get to be fans the way we want to be fans. I don’t have to think and act like you to get that badge of honor.

Joe Tsai (Brooklyn Nets owner) liked and then unliked a tweet that said:

"Ainge trying to create more leverage!

The man just got essentially 5 firsts for Gobert. I don’t even want to know his asking price for Mitchell "

If Mitchell is the key to completing a trade for KD, you can be assured that Ainge is going to extract as much value as he can.

It’s not a win/win at all. If the Wolves do good we get ****** picks. Weird as **** lmao.

The way I see, it I can either choose to be happy with both potential outcomes, or I can choose to be happy with one and miserable with the other under the silly, misguided, ego-driven guise of being a "real fan".

I choose option 1.

Whatever floats your boat but if you actively root for the Wolves to do better than the Jazz you are a weirdo and not a Jazz fan.

Only a fool thinks it is a win win. Anyone with common sense knows that the better the wolves do the worse it is for the jazz. It isn't even debatable. The wolves do bad the jazz get a better pick. The wolves do well the jazz get a worse pick. How exactly is it somehow a win win for the jazz if the wolves do well?

Because I get to watch my favorite player succeed?

I'm sorry you lack the brainpower to find silver linings in suboptimal outcomes.

Man I'm gonna have fun watching Elizah Huge angrily gatekeep all season whenever people express that they are happy for Gobert.
I mean the 2023 pick is not likely to be great so you are almost expecting it to be the 20s… so if it isn’t then awesome… if Rudy has a good year I’m cool with all that too… the picks later are the ones that will be the most juicy if Rudy slows down or if one of their guys gets hurt or if the fit gets too hard to make it work long term.

Life isn’t black and white.

Gobert can be an MVP candidate for all I care. I just hope Minnesota has the worst record in the league.
What you want to happen has no bearing on what does happen. I'll enjoy watching Gobert, and root for his success. I'll do the same for Mitchell. The Wolves may or may not be successful, but how I feel about it has nothing to do with it.

Realistically, they'll probably be very good the first couple of years and start to slide a little as Rudy ages.
