What's new

Jazz are committed to Donovan as cornerstone according to Woj

I think DA has helped the organization pivot on DM. Prior to DA, the organization was starry eyed NBA2K idiots. DA came in and said "Heck no, that's not how you run an organization. No player is bigger than the team." He probably also used some other Utah words like "super", "sic", "green jello", "fetch", "dirty Diet Coke", "fry sauce".
got tired of DM sluffing class, i tell ya

I think Woj is walking the CAA line. I am guessing DA is saying "If you let your mouthpiece say anything, we are sending DM to the Sacramento."

Really LoPo?
Butler’s bash, hanging with Bam, hanging with Bron, and sharing his favorite new song which is basically “Get me the frick out of here”!

This is just how players are now. They hang out with each other. You can take a deep dive look into all you want but who was the last Jazz player to be seen hanging out with LeBron or other guys? If Donovan is committed to staying here long-term he could be very helpful in recruiting a big name to come here for once.

I'm not even arguing with you Lopo. I'm telling you to take your argument to the other thread because I'm tired of every thread being derailed by the same argument.
You brought up social media antics. You derailed the conversation.

Own that you threw that unproven garbage out there and YOU stop derailing the conversation.

You don't have many friends, do you.
Probably a lot more than you I imagine.

Truthfully I always felt like folks that were compelled to post those kind of photos on social media are trying to convince others.
C’mon, anybody can see that Donny’s postings are more about dropping names and brand recognition than anything else!

Fringe all stars that aren't committed to winning don't recruit big names. Especially to Utah.

Over the last few months you've posted 5 maybe 6 different posts and you've done it like thousands of times. We're all kind of tired of it tbpfhwy.

You could save yourself some time by making a copy of the best version of your 5 different posts and just copy/paste them in where you deem appropriate.

I wasn't the one who brought up social media antics. It was Release the Kraken.

The only thing I did was ask you to take it to another thread.
So you ever provide content or just police people on here? You literally provide so little.

It's a shame. You seem like a smart guy and I'm not being a smartass

Sorry but I’d be more inclined to believe you if it wasn’t primarily Heat players in Miami where Mitchell has been repeatedly linked.

It's not policing. It's asking. I'm asking you to please just take it to another thread. I'm far from the only person here who's sick of threads getting derailed by the same argument by the same person.

When people bring up the same garbage, I respond with what I say in 5 or 6 different posts.

I simply respond. I don't initiate. If somebody says "Don runs the team" or "Don's social media blah blah blah", I stick up for the truth.

I hope this rumor ends up being true. When the offseason began, I was firmly in favor of trading them both, but the Gobert trade changed everything in my eyes. I couldn’t have imagined the Jazz getting that kind of haul for Rudy and now it feels like we have plenty of assets to go forward hoping Donovan can reach 1 more level.

The players Utah got back from Minny are being drastically overlooked because most people assume that we’re tanking, but there’s some real benefit to having those guys around if the Jazz are able to grab another young star this offseason (thinking along the lines of Ayton). Vanderbilt is an ideal small ball 5 with a non stop motor, Beasly is pretty much better than Royce at everything, and Beverly is a culture shifter due to his defensive effort and passion. I REALLY want to see Donovan play a season with Beverly and see what effect that has on him.

I think we’ve learned enough in the last 2 weeks to say with certainty that Donovan had started tuning out Quin. I think with a new coach, a new roster around him, and the fact that he’s our franchise cornerstone all lead to Donovan looking like his old self. Besides, tanking is SO MUCH more miserable than most fans are giving it credit for. You spend 2-3 seasons watching dog **** basketball and every offseason, end up praying that the Jazz can draft/sign a couple of players that are as good as the guys you just got rid of. After all that, when you finally start to get good, you gotta hope that your new young stars want to stay here when they become good enough to get poached by a large market team.

Great post all the way around.
