Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Contrary to popular opinion, if the Jazz add an above average shooting 4/5, I think there is a small chance 10% that the Jazz will be a 4 seed this year. 20% chance that they are 5-6 seed. 50% chance they are a play-in team (note: My highest probability is the Jazz are a play-in team presently constituted with a highly motivated DM). And a 20% chance they are lottery. I believe, DM is that good enough to make it happen. I think the drama between his teammates is what hurt us the most this year.

I'm gonna agree with Lopo. The Conley trade was devastating. Worst Jazz trade since Dominque for Cash.
Gave up too many assets for an overpaid system player that didn't want to be here.
I thought he actually made the Jazz 2 best players worse, which is not what you need from your third "star".

I agree with everyone else that this thread is about TRADES not the endless rambling thoughts of Jefe, Lopo, Keefe, and Cy about every passing whim they all have and how to argue about it.

I'm not trying to disrespect anyone's opinion with the Conley trade but the fact is the jazz gave up more than they recieved with Mike. We are still bleeding from that error and it has hindered our growth and progression as a franchise and limited our resources and flexibility. Thank you for allowing me to state my view.

This wouldn’t seem like a tank move more like a retool
And all that to pick up a player who, while a damn good NBA player, was not the right fit for our team. I really wonder what would have been if instead of desperately trading for a PG the Jazz would have moved Mitchell to PG (or primary ball handler) and picked up some height and defense for the backcourt. I have no idea if that was even possible at the time but whatever.

Sexton with Donovan and JC would be a disaster but if one or both are moved he’s a solid buy low imo. May not ever be a “winning” player.

I still hear the names Stockton, Malone, Kirilenko, Ostertag, Deron Williams, Okur, Bailey, etc., being brought up from time to time. Fans discuss a team's past. Get over it.
Weren't they tied for best with Chicago in 1998, and beat them in both FTFs? That should qualify as best.

no thanks. We currently have zero wing or big who can initiate offense or create anything with the ball.
You can have as many ball-playing guards as you want but without any offensive threats coming from the low block or elbow, it will always struggle against 5 out defense.
