Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

Brunson was 13/23 vs Mitchell and 7/16 vs Gobert. The person who guarded him the most was Royce where he went 11/28.

Brunson also did well against Conley and shot 100% vs Whiteside.

Maybe, just maybe our system sucked and nobody was having fun last year.

Back to the thread - Don to New York makes sense now that Ainge has pretty much forced him out. Gonna suck to suck the next half decade.

Regarding the PK rumor. Since I don't live in Utah, I really don't know who that is and couldn't vouch for him. The other Utah media guys seem to think he wouldn't just make that up, so I'll assume he really did hear something. My guess is his source is a lower level guy since none of the national guys / more connected guys ran with the story. So assuming those two things either,

A) the lower level guy misunderstood what was going on and a deal is not close
B) the lower level guy jumped the gun and the higher level guys aren't ready to leak the information yet.

I have a friend who used to be a statistician for an NBA team. He said that he would be super busy around the trade deadline running analysis for a bazillion situations. I assume there are a bunch of lawyers and accountants involved in the process as well. It seems likely that there are plenty of lower level guys with a peripheral view of what's going on in an NBA front office. They all have friends. Thus the crazy amount of rumors we hear about.

That's funny because all the viral videos of Brunson torching somebody was Brunson on Rudy.

Do I need to post them as a reminder?

I can't seem to find any of Brunson on Don probably because Don didn't guard Brunson for a vast majority of the series.

Sometimes, it's just better to stick to the truth.

PK is an insufferable moron. I listen to him and DJ heading to work and often have to change the station because of his whining. I dont take much stock into him personally.

Don had the lowest defensive raptor rating on the team… but, yes please compare his defense to Gobert’s defense (who led the league).

And notice… this topic is once again raised by a Gobert hater and not his “fan club.” Seek help. We can criticize Don without making it about Rudy… there is plenty there. You don’t want to talk about Don’s lack of defense, fine. Let’s talk about how he is one of the worst clutch players in the league.

I’m excited we are trading Don because I think he’s fools gold, and is about to have the worst season of his career.

LOL why was Rudy trying to guard Brunson at all? Because Mitchell was thoroughly blown by to begin with. You really have the hate blinders on strong. And why are you talking about someone who isn't on the Jazz anymore? Isn't that Rudy guy on the Wolves now? Let it go bro.

I actually think just raw statistically he might have the best season of his career, as he is likely to end up somewhere where he isn't just the man, but the ONLY man. He will get all the green he ever got here and more. It was pretty obvious that his black-hole play in the 2nd half of the season was more or less in defiance of Snyder, who would really have preferred we run the blender, but on his new team it will just likely be the primary game plan. Don't be surprised to see DM average 30+ this next year. Now, if he can mature-up enough to actually try on defense that could be something, but if he continues to be the traffic cone on offense so scrubs in his vicinity get career nights, then it just won't matter how much he scores. He's become worse than Iverson in that regard, at least Iverson gambled and got steals, even when he wasn't really helping the team D all that much. Some effort >>>>> no/negative effort.
