Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Makes me appreciate how Donovan has handled all the noise out of Utah and NY.
Agree but its not over yet. Many times when negotiations stall that's when it starts to get messy. So Knicks won't give up the goods and Donovan then needs to apply the heat (if its really what he wants). So if he hasn't been moved by time we are into training camp we will see how he is handling things. That's when things got messy with Harden and more messy with Simmons.

So, has anyone asked the obvious follow-up question to KD? He laid out his ultimatum, “either trade me, or get rid or Marks/Nash.” So, has anyone gotten the answer to: “or what?”
Between Kyrie and KD they can make things pretty ugly. It will be bad for them too but everyone kinda suffers. If Tsai fires Marks/Nash its a major ego hit... those types of guys won't willingly just take that. If they trade KD and Kyrie its kind of an eff you to them... Do nothing and its ugly as hell.

I have no idea how this plays out. Everyone will look like **** when its over though.

Yeah, but that's Ben Simmons. He was always a D-Bag. Spida still goes out of his way with the fans. Like him or not, he is classy with the fans.

If you want to be cynical then phrase it this way... his reputation matters enough to not repeat the mistakes of Ben Simmons. If there is any one player he wants to be compared against in a good light, it's Ben Simmons who was the rookie of the year blah blah blah.

Asking for a trade is one thing. Demanding that the GM be fired is out of line. In any case, if KD wanted this kind of leverage with the Nets, he should have signed a 1-year deal rather than a 4-year max extension.

Also, the reason that the Nets are low on assets is because they emptied them to trade for James Harden, something KD and Kyrie wanted. Then trading James Harden was again something KD wanted.

I think the Nets will trade KD to get rid of him at this point.
Wasn’t hiring Nash he and Kyrie’s idea, too?

They almost certainly signed off on it. Nash was said to be somewhat close with Nash. Now they are saying “nah… that was overstated”.

It’s a joke… but Nets had to know it was combustable with those two.

Yeah. I don’t feel bad for the Nets AT ALL

They made their bed. . . This is what they get for trying so hard to make a KD, Kyrie, Harden “super team”. . .

Wondering if the Durant and Donovan dramas are going to be pushed to be resolved soon by Silver.
Maybe behind the scenes, but not out in front of scrutiny. You can’t convince me that someone as influential as Adam Silver has stayed completely on the sidelines as the perfect NBA star has basically been aligned to end up in the leagues biggest TV market.

Maybe the contrary. Maybe Silver needs it to drag on, and cause uncertainty and discomfort for as many other players as possible so when the CBA negotiations open up, the owner's will have some player support for new rules against stars forcing trades.

Mitchell-to-NY has all sorts of narratives that could sell. Makes me wonder if he backchannels to New York on the tampering deal. "Trade for Mitchell or sit tight. Either way, you are losing 1st rounders."

Maybe I am not as bought into conspiracy theory NBA but... I am thinking Silver doesn't care about this at all and that the tampering is just because they obviously tampered and didn't follow the superficial rules of tampering. Can't make it that damn obvious.
