I will root for neither team although I will hope Rudy does well. I have been following the Jazz since the arrived in Utah back in 81. I have followed them through thick and thin all through my military career all the way until now. I remember when they had names on the roster such as Rich Kelley, Gentle Ben Poquette, James Hardy, Bernard King, AD, and Duck Williams. This was prior to the Jazz drafting Darryl Griffeth.
So I will be a Jazz fan until the day I'm pushing daisies and will always root for the underdogs and new players on our team.

I don’t think it’s possible for me to not root for Rudy, no matter what team he plays for. Of all the players we’ve had over the years since Stockton and Malone, he’s the one I felt would be a Jazz man for life. I’m still incredibly bitter about him being traded and will wish him the best wherever he is, whoever he’s with. Will always have mad respect for his game.
Mitchell is in a different category for me. Loved the first few years he played with the Jazz. But his defense this past year killed all the respect I had for him. Really angry he couldn’t find a way to coexist and thrive with Rudy.

I know folks here are nice guys and the world needs more of that.
But this is sports. It's not that serious. Being a sports fan is a cold world, so you need to button up. You have like a 1 in 32 chance of getting what you want.
