Whiteness is more a concept than a static thing.

Bolmaro is "Argentinian" but he is very much a "white" person in his country. And yes, Italians are white. Both people would be identified and treated as "white" in all visual context in America.
agree on bolmaro, but simone doesn't seem like a typical italian in terms of whatever race he is, however. he looks a little darker and let's face it - can really jump.

To be clear:

I dont think the Jazz or Danny Ainge are racist, but it's a funny *** coincidence given the reputations of Utah/Mormons/Boston.

If you cant have a laugh at that and are getting butthurt....

The most important thing for a new team is to establish an identity. Danny is building a strong foundation around guys who are coachable, gym rats, sneaky athletic, scrappy, high IQ, gritty, and gritty leaders. You know, guys who play the game the right way, come from great families, and are the type of guy you'd want your daughter to date. It's kind of sickening to suggest that Danny see's race. All he sees is a guys with a lot of heart and get the most out of their abilities.

Haha what?

Is there an international agreement on this somewhere? WTF are you talking about? o_O

Every country has a hierarchy of race. even if they dont have 100% Western European lineage. There is a desired race and that is typically lighter skinned that has been mixed with European colonizers. "White" can look different in different countries and isnt a defined race.

Is this thread serious?

Reminds me of the times when the polish cardinal John Paul II was selected pope in 1978. Newspapers across Europe screamed with headlines "First white pope in centuries!!!11!" -> they regarded Pope Innocent V who died in 1276 the last previous white pope, because the popes ever since had come from the Mediterranean coast and thus were not white

The irony is in 2022 people of other ethnicities love being told by white men what ethnicity they TRULY are and how they are wrong.

The thread is literally just stating that the Jazz have signed/traded for 7 white players. That's the extent of the thread.

The replies are just people being extremely sensitive.

You can read about the concept of race/whiteness as a construct if you want instead of just being totally flabbergasted by it.
