What's new

Jazz Media / Content Day

Don's gone. Just let him be. He was good for the Jazz.
We may find out ourselves for a long long time longing for players/characters like him or Rudy.
Don't show kids around contempt for a young athlete that was a good model for them. IMHO it would be unhealthy, misguided.

Weird... I just think the Collin/JC fit is weird. They seem to really value guys that want to be here I guess.

I think it will play itself out so whatevs, if the fit with JC/Sexton works then I guess go for it.

Rudy, Joe, Favors and Rubio would beg to differ.

Meh. FWIW Don and JC did fine playing together on the same team so imagine the dynamic with Sexton will be about the same.

It just seems a little premature to be extending any of these guys esp a veteran player like JC. It's like Danny got to the 5 yard line in trading the vets and then decides to do a complete 180 by acquiring Olynyk and potentially keeping JC, Conley, etc.
fwiw this doesnt mean he is getting extended, just means it's more likely than him being traded. I think Clarkson is viewed as a "culture" guy who could potentially make Utah a more attractive destination.

There’s a pattern here. It’s all the guy that DA traded for that were bad basketball moves and here these are the guys being hyped.

Lol exactly what I thought. A little hype up these guys and we will guarantee your salary next year wink wink.

He also said the new jerseys were fire and that Team 49 is his favorite theme ever... really galvanizes the team.

I remember the on/off +- being horrible with those two one year. Can't remember if they remedied the situation or just tried to avoid it.

The theme I get from TJ and others is they are being flexible on how they view the team and players. Like I think we think there is some master plan they are executing but I think its more of a general direction type of thing. Which I get... you want to be flexible and make the right decision in front of you.

There has been an incredible amount of change and turnover... so I'm cool with it I guess. Just hoping we don't end up with this Frankenstein of a team that has some cool parts but its got like 4 legs and no arms or some ****.

Definitely agree on the culture part. I love JC thru the good and very bad times on the court. Both he and Sexton are klutch clients too fwiw.

If they are going to keep culture players I'd personally prefer a guy that is going to provide defense or playmaking but I'm cool with JC. Now if he could fetch them a FRP I'd have him on the first plane out of SLC.

Part of DA's master plan to secure a top pick in the next draft. Genius.
