Crowder for Gay/Butler makes a ton of sense for both sides. We should explore that.
Agreed. Lonzo has had knee issues going back to high school and is still owed over $60 mil the next 3 seasons. Love his archetype as a player but the injury issues are way too prevalent. I might trade them Conley but not trading any other assets considering the Jazz could potentially be on the hook for over $20mil in '24-25 when Conley is already off the books. The Bulls fans are basically resigned to the fact he will likely be out the entire '22-23 season after this surgery. Not to go back to the maelstrom but:
If the Bulls are trading Lonzo, it’s cuz they think he’s busted. So yeah, not sending assets for that. The value being swapped is present value (an NBA basketball player that can be really good, and saving them at least ~$20-30 million real dollars) for a CHANCE at future value.
I make that trade straight across, I’m not attaching ****.
He is reaping second-hand karma for what a total douchebag his dad is.
Uh, no offense.
Seriously though it is too bad. He has the tools that is for sure.
But, you know, my empathy is tempered a bit. I mean now all he has to fall back on is the millions and millions he has "earned", before the age of 25, playing a school-yard game. I feel sooooo bad for him.
Wait until we get to the pages where we rehash the Conley trade... its coming.*Was on page 954: "man this Lonzo stuff is so stupid"
*skips to page 959: ".............jesus christ......."

This thread is a Tolstoy novel. Expect lots of characters and surprises to fill the 1,000 pages.*Was on page 954: "man this Lonzo stuff is so stupid"

Rehashing the Conley trade is fine. It’s when we get to “Deron was freezing AK out” and blaming Sloan for AK that things get really bad.Wait until we get to the pages where we rehash the Conley trade... its coming.
Or "Did Jordan push off?"Rehashing the Conley trade is fine. It’s when we get to “Deron was freezing AK out” and blaming Sloan for AK that things get really bad.
Meh. Zero sympathy for adolescent millionaires. So sue me.Kinda petty mate
Pretty sure no one predicted the Pistons, but somehow that makes me one of the dumbest posters for predicting the Knicks?.
And yet somehow you think he is worth trading a 1st rd pick when you have no clue what is going on with his knee other than the fact that it needs another surgery? Even for Conley straight up he is not worth the risk and I have always liked him as a player. You, like everyone else, has no actual idea what is going on with Lonzo's knee.

Oh wow, the sky isn't falling apparently
I'll pound my chest in 2 years when hes playing games and still very good.Remember when I told you the other day every surgery is announced as a success the day of... This is 100% expected. Pound your chest when he actually plays 5-10 games this season.
Honestly hope you will have the chance to do that... ain't rooting for Lonzo to fail. His dad is a douche (but also funny) but Lonzo seems like a good dude and he is fun as hell.I'll pound my chest in 2 years when hes playing games and still very good.

Brandon Roy had a bunch of "successful" knee surgeries and he is now a high school coach.I’ll bet you he doesn’t play a single game this year.
Seriously means nothing. Now if they declared a surgery unsuccessful, YIKES.Brandon Roy had a bunch of "successful" knee surgeries and he is now a high school coach.
