Hot take. By the end of next year one of KAT, ANT, or Gobert will be gone. ANT vs. KAT was going to happen regardless of Rudy according to the Gordon Chiesa theorem.
 
I predict the picks will be 25ish from the Wolves. They have Rudy and that guy is the goat defender.
The Brooklyn pick will end up being the Philly pick and will be 25ish too.
Jazz pick will probably land around 8.

Yeah I kinda feel bad for Rudy.. he's such a nice guy too. All he wants to do is play basketball and he has to deal with drama everywhere he goes.. lol .. poor guy.

ANT is a dickhead
 
The Nets have a bunch of talent, but their three best players are not exactly paragons of mental fortitude. The longer this goes on and they don't figure things out, the more likely the whole thing is to implode. If this team is below .500 after the first 20 games, I can't see Durant, Kyrie and Simmons all being fine.

That pick largely depends on how Phillys season goes imo… I think the Nets breaking down seems inevitable. Ky and KD aren’t the most healthy dudes the last few years and they both openly wanted out this offseason… I see them checking out if things get tough.

Embiids body language is horrible. The plantar fasciitis is also miserable and lingers forever it seems like. I think they likely end up too 6 but Joel misses 20-25 games and they might be a play in team.

Look, all of Houston, Philly and Brooklyn are finishing outside the playoffs. They will be the first three picks after the ping pong balls. We get the third pick. The first pick is going to be Henderson because they fall in love. The second pick is going to be Bol Bol Bol, a surprise that sneaks up with a lot of hype and none other than Manute Bol’s grandson. We will be left taking Victor W (anyone pointed out the interesting meaning of his first name and last name initial?). We will have traded for Westbrook mid-season and will be acquiring 27 and 29 unprotected and a 28 swap, because of the Lakers’ desperation. There’s a long buyout negotiation with Westbrook that never materializes and he gets sent home. The Wolves want to move on from Rudy and when free agency opens we will execute a S&T of Westbrook for Rudy and Jaden McDaniels. Joe Ingles will re-sign as will Patrick Beverley and Donte Divincenzo. NAW is going to be traded to the Beijing Ducks for Cairen Zhang.

Oh, and the Lakers traded us their pick this year (after the selection) for the rights to Quin. Ainge is also trading this year’s jersey design rights to the Rio Grand Valley Vipers for two second round G League picks. Pat Riley steps down with the Heat and becomes a consultant to the Jazz FO, later given the title Special Provost of Basketball Operations. Ryan commissions Post Malone and Jump Shot Malone to form an official clergy of Jazz basketball. Justin Zanick goes into Timpanogos cave on his day off and finds the infinity stones, bringing Mark Eaton back to life, in his prime.

I'm probably in the minority here but I'd take a flier on a distressed asset like Simmons. He doesn't have the mindset to play in a big EC market like Phil or Brooklyn but still has size/ballhandling/defensive skill that made him the #1 pick. He's shooting with the wrong hand and that's probably not fixable. Playing in semi obscurity in SLC could do wonders for his confidence since there would be no expectations...he wouldn't be playing under the microscope on national tv games (until ofc Victor arrives next year ;)
