Yeah it is never gonna happen unless they gut "ALL" the vets, and they are not apparently going to. I don't see tanker now, even if they sell high JC or Mike like maybe they should. either especially if a upgrade at rim protection comes back in the deal. We're 10-6.
in your dreams lolPlaying like that we may be 12-30 soon....
I think you see a mirageJazz will be under .500 by the end of this month.
I think I can see Victor if I squint enough..
In Thailand, you never loose your GF, you just loose your place in the queue… is what i tell myself each time a relationship ends.
I do hope im wrong, but last 3 were pretty terrible....the game against Suns will tell more. They are so good despite CP not playing.in your dreams lol
and 1 game back of first place in the west as well. We're 10-6.
We have been close in all 3 of the recent losses. So playing like that we might also be 30-12 soon.Playing like that we may be 12-30 soon....
We can easily be bad enough to tank by offloading a couple vets... And by tank I mean be in the 6-8 range. I don't know if a good enough deal materializes unfortunately. We're too good to tank but most likely not good enough to win a playoff series. Not a great spot to be in, especially during the first year of a rebuild.
I think it actually depends a lot on the expectations. We are overperforming which is building value and confidence. We can cash in that value by trading the pieces that dont fit our future, and our young guys building their skills by winning is better than building them by losing. We're too good to tank but most likely not good enough to win a playoff series. You trade Olynyk and Conley and this **** is burning to the ground. That would make us worse for sure, but to truly be bad enough to get to that 6-8 range, I think we may have to trade all 3 of Conley, Clarkson and Olynyk. Say we trade Conley and Olynyk, we're still going to have our two best players in Lauri and Clarkson, plus Beasley, Sexton, Vanderbilt, Kessler, maybe Fontecchio even pops with more minutes. We may still have too much talent to be that bad.
Replace KO and Mike minutes with a mix of more Sexton/Ochai/more Kessler and Doke gets the backup minutes... and we are right there. SA/OKC/Indiana are all better than expected because their main core young guys are all taking steps forward and in some cases huge steps forward. We also will have an injury or two... not having the depth to cover that injury causes losses. We are like 3 games away from that "range" right now... if Mike/KO weren't on the team we'd have easily lost at least 3 of those. That would make us worse for sure, but to truly be bad enough to get to that 6-8 range, I think we may have to trade all 3 of Conley, Clarkson and Olynyk. And if it doesn't... it is because Simone, Kessler, Doke, Ochai, THT, Sexton leveled up... those guys drive winning and you just kinda shrug because you are in a good spot. You trade Olynyk and Conley and this **** is burning to the ground.
Thats what we should have done the year we ended up with exum. Lose a few more and we might have ended up with embiid. That can be the difference sometimes in losing a few more games or winning a few meaningless games. That team that season never had any chance at the playoffs like this team this season does. It was incredibly stupid that year to play the vets over the young guys.Tank or develop the young guys trying
I doubt an executive would make a decision like that not even a 1/4th into the season, but ehh... who knowsHas Hardy been given the TANK time wink by Ainge. They know what they like and dont , time to lose.
