His strategy of missing straight to Kessler so he could make putbacks was genius. All you Rudy Gay haters need to apologize now. He's +30
Nah. His plus/minus doesn't excite me. His is way too old to help this team when we would need his help. He is the worst shooter on the entire team. Even if he were good I wouldn't want him getting minutes knowing he will be gone when we are actually serious about winning. All you Rudy Gay haters need to apologize now. He's +30
Very good vertical too. He is a bit of a freak of nature. Just wish he were more competitive and disciplined.I'm starting to heat up to the idea of Doc getting more minutes here and there. He played well in the limited minutes he had. At six eleven 270 pounds, he's no push-over.
He still isn’t sure what to do out there… I watched JC literally take him by the hand and put him in the spot he was supposed to go. Made him set a screen for him and made laugh… it was just gentle and supportive.Very good vertical too. He is a bit of a freak of nature. Just wish he were more competitive and disciplined.
Trade Conley, JC, Beasley. The difference between the Cleveland and Milwaukee defense from the previous games and Detroit last night was pretty drastic. It was interesting watching a worse defense than us. Detroit is just really bad which was nice for us playing on the back end of a back to back.
Not that we didn't already know this, but our team is pretty firmly in the middle tier of the NBA. We aren't nearly as good as the top teams and not nearly as bad as the bottom teams. It feels like there are giant leaps for us to get to either the top or bottom, and I guess that's how teams get stuck. We certainly don't want to give up a talent like Lauri, but it's going to be hard to bottom out with him in order to surround him with the type of talent we need to compete with the top teams.
Sorry to be a downer, probably the worse I've felt after a win this year.
When the game started I was wondering if the giant DP on the court was double entendre. I mean, there are two cylinders firing at the same time there.
It was confirmed when Markaanen scored nearly 40 points on 17 shots. He was definitely firing from multiple "pistons".
Pew pew!

And we can actually do a combination of all of the above. Get a great prospect from the Minny pick, trade other picks to bring in an impact player, and still sign a solid vet to fill out the team. Our flexibility is so broad it almost makes me worry about analysis paralysis. This is where they need a solid game plan and then the cojones to stick to the plan. Like going into Walmart on black friday, intent on getting a deal on that laptop that is on sale, then being distracted by the 70" tv that is $1k off and blowing your wad on the doorbuster instead.I agree with this his completely with one difference. Danny Ainge set us up so well with assets that we dont need to bottom out to level up. We can use draft picks to draft a player that levels us up. Or multiple players that collectively level us up. Or trade picks for a player that levels us up. Or we can use the financial flexibility that we will soon have to purchase a player to level us up.
Plus we have one of the best GM’s in the league who is armed with all this good team building material.
We wont be “stuck” like other teams (portland for example)
