Tremendous Upside

I definitely don't think he's the PG of the future but I wouldn't trade him either. IMO he's exactly the type of bench scorer every team needs. Not all building blocks have to be starters. Can someone explain to me why I keep hearing folks say that Sexton is not available because he is integral to our future? Am I the only one who is not convinced? Laurie and Walker for sure and probably Ochai at this point are on my protected list. If we end up keeping Sexton that is fine but it wouldn't bother me a bit for him to get traded. I am a long way from being convinced that he is our PG of the future. What am I missing?
The trouble is that I don't think Sexton himself will ever really accept a bench role. He might not have a choice in the long run, though. I can't see any team starting him at this point.
