Another meh game - I know I get crap for this but for HIS standards it was a meh - from Lauri but that's life.. He gets doubled so much bc of our limited talent pool around him, and still has to develop a bit more to create from double teams and punish. He had few nice passes though which one lead to basket. The biggest thing I am worried is he missed another highlight dunk just like last game. Is he having heavy feet? Or is it a regression back to mortal levels? Felt he could not miss in one point no matter how much it took skill and athleticism.

Collin was on fire tonight so that is a HUGE bonus. His block was lit.
Liked THT a lot. He and Mike makes thebest backcourt for keeping the ball moving.

Lauri dropping 24 in a game where he was relatively quiet and was getting doubled is actually a good sign.

It indeed is. And when we get more talent he can not be doubled or even tripled this much. If he gets another all star tier around him in the future he might average 30 a season lol.

Seems like Kessler had a rare actual, you know, rookie game tonight. He's been so solid that when he has a game that makes him look like a rookie is kind of surprising. Seemed more solid in the first half.

He was incredible the first 5 minutes of the game but then he pretty much disappeared after that.

With the way that Sexton and THT played, I think we can afford to move Conley now while he can still get us something. That game was an aberration; frickin Lillard was unconscious- I think he set some kind of record for points and fg% tonight.

The most basic way any NBA team can score is the guard iso, which happens to be the one thing we are seemingly unable to defend. Its not even about screens and switches, its that we dont have a guy who can even properly slow down the smaller quicker guards when singled out. Dame, Kyrie, Simons, Mitchell, Fox... the list of guys who have gone off against us is long.

Ochai will hopefully become an option for that but its his first year so he doesnt have the experience of the tendencies and moves some of these guys have. I'm still a bit disappointed Hardy didnt give him much of a run against Dame... with fresher legs towards the end he could have been decent in defending Dame full-court. Its not like the current plan was working.

This is a complete list of box scores against us with someone scoring 35 or more. Embiid is the only big man to do it.. and that was way early in the season mostly against KO/Vando/Lauri FC. Noteworthy is that 6 of these 11 are from January.

We desperately need a lock down defender as jingles said Carson Wallace trade Clarkson for a 1st rounder of next draft sexton can move into starting position

I 100% agree about the need... dont know too much about Wallace though.

I'm also dreadful what SGA will do to us. We havent seen OKC yet but will play them 4 times after the AS break.

There isn’t really any good defenders that are free agents or can trade for because they are premium so we are better off drafting the best 2 defending guard which is Wallace

We have never been able to stop Dame and struggle to defend the pg position. This must be addressed for us to get to the next level
