Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

6'6 wing who can self-create and isnt a terrible defender. I'll take it.
That would be nice but it's not reality. He's not really a creator either. He takes the wildest shots, some worse than THT.
Pacer fans were doing cartwheels when the Cavs took him off their hands last year.

So? Pacers watched him for 39 games. Caris Levert is not a bad player and he has potential to develop further. He has averaged 14-4-4 for his career. Yall are just being silly saying full-stop you wouldnt want him.

No - the original JC

Yall aren't looking deep enough... DA wants to tank so needs to trade some good players for bad. He also doesn't want to tip off Silver to what he is doing. So you trade Beasley and Gay for Levert and Windler. Levert looks like a good player... you can rationalize the trade, but then he is also good enough to highjack the offense with inefficiency and may need to manage some injuries. Can't just trade for Russ and cut him... DA has to operate in stealth mode.

Losing Beasley for him is worse than losing THT, even if we get a little cap space. I see what you are saying, but I think Beasley has more value than that to both the Jazz and the rest of the league.

Dump Gay... get some seconds. I am not sure Beasley has first round pick value without assuming a bad contract. I think some NBA pundits thought so... but look at the trouble Detroit is having finding a first for Bogey (and Bogey is a much better player).

I think you can get a first by combining a few guys... Dumping Gay and getting some seconds is likely pretty close to protected 1st round pick value.

Also, its about the tank.

I think it was KOC, but he was saying Sacramento should trade Davion Mitchell for a better win now piece since he's going to have trouble ever really developing on the Kings given Fox being the main guy and a lot of the offense running through Sabonis when Fox isnt running it.

Vando for Davion straight up works, but I doubt the Kings would bite.

Maybe Vando/Brooklyn 1st for Davion?

Not a huge Davion fan, cuz small guard, but he's an actual high level man defender and he did show some promise as a PG in the 2nd half of his rookie season.

Interesting... I'm not giving a first for that though. I'd also want to see how the draft plays out as we might end up in the same situation if we drafted a pg.

I think it was Lowe who I was listening to, but he basically said expirings (like Levert) dont have a ton of value in the NBA right now since there arent a ton of teams strapped to bad contracts currently. So if we dealt Beasley for Levert, you would think something else would have to come to us.

Levert definitely has value, but him being an expiring contract with health risk makes him not that valuable.

Interesting idea. A quick scan of Kings boards gives the impression that they’re quite high on him despite his offensive limitations, and don’t really want to give him up.

Cavs get some extra depth. They get back Delly for emotional vibes.

Kings get an upgrade for a win now move.

Jazz get a crack at developing a PG.

Dont love it, just messing around. Cavs definitely get the best deal here. They could maybe hand out more picks to Utah/Sac.

@Handlogten's Heros lives long enough to see us finally land Alex Len.

I like Davion but we have a logjam of small guards and a void of bigs. So losing vando makes us thinner at a position we are already thin at and make the logjam bigger. I like the trade in a vacuum though. I think Davion is better than vando.

I would do that. i actually really like that one. I prefer Davion to Beasley already and Len can provide depth. plus a 2nd. I do it withouth the pick even.
