Those are fine but I just laugh when it’s “someone offered three firsts” without any kind of qualification… if a team offered three unprotected first Massai would pack his bags.

Isn't that bucks pick that it conveys is the the Bucks get a top 5 pick, otherwise it does not? There was a massive amount of hinkieness to that pick if I recall correctly.

No, people were reading the protection wrong. It is top-4 protected. It previously was unprotected but it had top-4 protection added to it by New Orleans who sent it to Portland who then sent it to Detroit who then sent it to New York.

Thats a potential 60/30 frontcourt with great defense to boot once those guy jel and reach OG/Lauri prime.
 
Every time I think about John Collins I am just not sure how the fit here is better than Atlanta. The thing he needs is to be involved as a roll man... well we need Kessler doing most of that work. I want to buy in because I do think someone gets a good deal... but I just can't do it without draft comp.

Utah continues to dial opposing front offices in hopes of fetching positive returns for Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt and Mike Conley, among other veterans, sources told Yahoo Sports. The Jazz have not relented in their stance that breakout forward Lauri Markkanen and standout rookie center Walker Kessler are unavailable via trade. While the Clippers have shown interest in Conley, one source with knowledge of the matter described any trade with Los Angeles landing the lefty point guard as unrealistic.
 
I'm thinking maybe they should move the trade deadline up. Rarely does any in season trade make a big difference because there isn't enough time to practice and incorporate the new guys in.

You could maybe choose a later date in the season for those that have injuries or maybe with a financial penalty.

Also, I'm impatient.

Well, thy questions of substantive import here are whether or not Anunoby and Markkanen are in any predisposition to re-sign their contracts with the Jazz. Otherwise, Anunoby disappears in 24 like an unsound rationalist argument. If Sir Lauri leaves in 25, tears will abound in Jazz-Land, and with our resources depleted in Malthus-like fashion, they Jazz could disarticulate.
 
My prediction...

Vando ends up in Portland or Indiana... we get a meh return for him (good seconds)
We move Beasley and Gay to Cleveland for Levert and Windler (and maybe some seconds)

Clear some salary cap room and take a look at Levert... let a few guys get some dev time.

We try to move Mike but no good deals happen. We manage the eff outta Mike's loads and he is moved in the offseason.

Whats the point of trading vando for a couple of seconds? Hes worth more than worthless second round pics.
