Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

That is an excellent description of the confirmation bias to which the poster responded. In many ways, it's better to be proven wrong, because you learn more.

Crazy that this team is down on Sexton but so high on Clarkson.

Jazz probably not doing anything until we find out what the Raps are doing. I suspect nothing happens with the Raps and we sell to panicked buyers at the deadline.

I think my ideal trade deadline is Mike goes to Clips for Kennard, pick swap, expiring....Beasley goes to Memphis for the worse of the two firsts they own in 2024 (GS or their own) and Danny Green (plus whatever player they want to throw in to match salary).

You get a shooter and maximize pick value that way since it increases the value of the worst 2023 pick we have and gives us a pick in a draft we currently don't have one in. I think its realistic. Throw in a Vando deal if you want somewhere or just keep him.

I love both of those trades and would love to keep vando. Just thinking out loud but trading conley (a pass first player) might make Vando a little more valuable to us simply as a guy who doesnt look to score.

If the point is just to win and play better than the opponent as a team then the talent level is fine.

@Eliza Huge often post stats showing our best lineups. Sexton is in a **** ton of them. Even more than conley. Man sexton played good as a starter this year. It was awesome.

The talent level is good enough to be average, especially when you realize that Conley is not long for here. If they actually want to consistently win, they need better talent at the position.
 
I agree with all of you sfor some part and disagree for others.

Because we can have example on bith side :

- some teams are very good without a good passing guy ( Boston, bucks....)
- Some team are very good with a conductor ( Denver, Memphis, Phoenix....).

The point is to get more quality that we currently don't have. We need a better defender and another good wing ( best if he is also a good defender).

Mike is old, unless we plan to win next year, he is not part of the future. And i fdo not think that JC or Colin are good enough ( tunel vision, defense...). So we need an udgrade on this position as well.
 
I watched Bones tonight… if you think Hardy ain’t got the patience for Sexton… boy I’ll tell ya Bones may not make it through a practice.

Nah, look at advanced stats, unless advanced stats don’t prove your point, in which case use the eye test.

Use the one that proves your point and discount the other.


Or parts of each.


Under no circumstances, change your mind. Show no weakness.
