2023 NBA Draft Megathread

A lot of mocks have us taking Cason Wallace. Is he someone to get excited about or more of a solid, albeit perhaps somewhat boring, pick?

I really like him. Not sure he has all-star potential, but he's one of the best defenders in the draft and a solid playmaker as well.

I tuned into this Bama/SC game on the last possession in regulation. Brandon Miller is the best player on the court by a long mile.

GG looked offensively dangerous in the 1st half. 2nd half disappeared and for the most part his effort on defense and defensive positioning, with slow hips and feet most the game leaves a lot to be desired. Dont want. At all.

GG had a couple drives where he beat a defender, but got turned back at the rim by Alabama's 7-ft center. Seems like he pouted a bit after he didn't get a call he wanted on one of them. There do seem to be a couple maturity issues with him. Defensively, he also needs to get in a real stance and not just rely on his reactions. He's a raw prospect, and to be honest, I'm not sure moving up a class was the right decision for him. He could have stayed in his current HS class and continued to be a top-5 prospect.

Food for thought (maybe everyone here already knows this):

Givony today on the 2024 draft: "This is a very underwhelming high school class, one of the worst that I've seen in the last 20 years."
Does that mean someone needs to tell Ainge? Or is Ainge seeing something others are not.
