What's new

Game Thread Mar 20, 2023 07:00PM MT: Jazz vs. Kings

Added to Calendar: 03-20-23

You have to maintain a culture of winning. How many teams are continously in the lottery and stay there? I'd love to get a high draft pick, and I think the Jazz are trying to lose while maintaining a winning culture. The pendelum is tilting towards wins unfortunately for their draft pick positioning.

The experience these young guys are getting is so valuable, I wish this is what the entire season was for the young guys. Teaching to win and not settle is necessary.

Watching Kessler and Ochai is a lot of fun. Watching a lot of off ball action, effort on defense, and staying in games is like coming up from the depths of the ocean for fresh air after drowning for years.

The power of 2 picks - Jazz trade up into top 10. It will happen. With Agbaji playing well you feel okay about losing a 1st round pick in order to find that next top talent.

The pro win tears will be epic!!!

Yep somebody has to put some pressure on Minnesota. I mean if we keep losing and Lakers and Pels keep losing they're in. But if we keep playing well, it forces everybody on the bubble to have to play well to get in. And Minny's remaining schedule and injury situation is about as bad as it gets. Anyway, the play-in is not the playoffs as far as the lottery is concerned. We can make the play-in and still miss the playoffs, preserving out miniscule chance at the lottery.

Call me crazy, but after tonight I think there's a better chance that Dok stays out of the G League than us actually getting into the actual playoffs.

Lesson from tonight is that you can't ever count on the Sacramento Kings to win a game. Also, Agbaji might have more to his game than I've given him credit for.

I think the NBA is just incredibly talented right now. I also think the increase in 3pt shooting causes a lot of variance, but also helps minimize talent gaps. It's just too hard to lose if a team is well coached.

We got lottery talent in the last draft. I'm not convinced Kessler isn't top 5 talent in THIS draft.
Im convinced he is top 5 in this draft. Hell, I might take him second overall in this draft.

I never said it's "more likely" to get a better player at 15th cuz that'd be silly.
That is how your original post came across to me fwiw. You have clarified multiple times now though so no biggie.

What an emotional night this must have been for the tankers. It's almost enough to make you feel for them. Well not really, but still
Actually I really enjoyed the win last night. You say this alot when the jazz win. Yet many (the majority in fact) love these wins on the backs of the young guys and guys that are part of the future plans.

Look. We are going to play minnesota in the play in tournament and knock them out of the playoffs. It is destined.

I have thought this since day one. He has just been brought along very slowly.
I mean dude has an nba body, played 4 years at kansas and won a national championship. If ever there was a rookie ready to contribute from day one its Ochai.

Dok and Dunn in double figures and Agbaji netted almost 30. No Clarkson, sexton, or Lauri, no problem.

just as we all predicted at the start of the year…
Runner up post of the thread.
What a season

TU should be here in a moment to tell you why it is a bad thing a </roll d100> 73 years old Dunn does that.
Drunkest post of the thread.
