What's new

Official Utah/Minnesota/Philadelphia Pick Watch

I actually think the Wolves are better without Rudy , from what I’ve seen this year .

What Kyle Anderson said , I feel it isn’t just him , others including Edwards have had a dig at Rudy this season .

I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a team meeting and beat Lakers .

The backup centre has been nice , and can really shoot from deep

They're going be without Rudy, Naz and McDaniels...I'll be shocked if they beat the Lakers.

It will also be 8 on 5… league is salivating at that LA Memphis series… Lakers might make round 2… ratings and cap through the moon baby…

So correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the scenarios are as follows:

Non-lottery scenarios
18th --> Neither LA or Heat qualifies and OKC qualifies
18th/17th --> Neither LA or Heat qualifies and NOP qualifies
17th --> Minny qualifies (through either game) and one of LA/Heat qualifies and the other doesnt
17th/16th --> Minny, NOP and Heat qualify
16th --> Minny qualifies and both Lakers and Heat qualify as well
15th --> No scenarios

Lottery scenarios:
14th --> Minny doesnt qualify and Heat qualifies
13th/14th --> Minny doesnt qualify, Heat and OKC qualifies
13th --> Minny doesnt qualify and Heat doesn't qualify
12th/13th --> Minny and Heat dont qualify but OKC qualifies

So we essentially want Heat and Minny to share destinies. If Minny wins either game we also want Heat to win... but if Minny loses we also want the Heat to lose.
If Minny beats Lakers we then want Lakers to win the 8th seed game.

Edit: Added the tied scenarios.

Yes, I believe you're pretty much spot on. Dan Clayton posted a chart on it earlier.

Oh FFS I just realized we want the Lakers to qualify in all the scenarios.

Rooting for them has already destroyed parts of my soul this year.... now we gotta root for them through the entire play-in as well?

We can (and will) hate them again in a few days.

So in other words:
Best case, is LAL get 7th. OKC gets 8th , meanwhile ATL gets 7th and Bulls(ORL) gets 8th in East.
Lakers at 17, Hawks at 16, Bulls(ORl) at 15.
Heat at 14, MINN(UTA) at 13, TOR at 12, and NOP at 11. --with a slim chance at 12.
ok got it, but that aint gonna happen if we sober right smh, not the 10 seeds both getting in anyway.
I bet on 14 or 16 and so should everyone else.
Worst case is going to be if the Lakers lose the 7th, and end up 8 or out, we pick 17 as a result but worst even than that is Mike/Edwards/KAT with Rudy out of the way, carry the Wolves to the 2nd round in a upset over the Griz.
Then it gets even worse, They opt to trade Rudy this summer, and are never in the lottery at any point whilst we own their picks smh

If they win then it’s 4-7 games of Lebron and AD being subject to Brooks cheap shots in an all-time douche off.

would have much rather seen Zion return and have a shot to go against the Griz . that 2-7 match up Wolves or Lakers is garbage.
In fact the Nuggets series is stinky as well unless its OKC trying to slay the giant.

Yeah if that is the case, then that is ****ed up. He deserved to get punched for that. Just lucky it wasn't in the face. I imagine Rudy could throw a hell of a punch if he tried. Long arms, strong upper body, reach...yikes.

iirc rudy also trains pretty regularly in boxing.

Honestly, Anderson's just lucky Rudy hit him on the shoulder and not the face. You can't repeatedly call a grown man a bitch and expect him not to react.
Yeah.. but he should have done the fake tough guy thing instead of the shoulder hit. In practice take a swing maybe. The whole thing is just crazy. The Woj tweet reads like when I am giving out punishments to my kids "now I understand your sister took your lip gloss, but that doesn't mean you get to bite her, so you are both in timeout okay"

I'm not sure anyone can get a Gobert package outside of guys like KD
From what I'm getting the new CBA will limit the years you can send future picks in to 6(rather than the 7 that were in the current CBA)... so... the most own picks you will be able to give is 3 picks and 3 swaps.

I think that’s only for teams in the luxury tax (or a higher tier of the LT). Either way, it shrinks the pool of available picks which makes the Jazz’s horde more valuable.
