I fault no one for not even entertaining the notion, I just want to make the point that at a small salary (between the vet minimum and, say, ~$2 million a year with a team option on the second year), he'd basically be free to try out. If he hasn't found self-awareness or sanity or whatever, you just cut him. Easy peasy. If he doesn't come on a contract like that, then don't bother.

Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.

Dillon Brooks is a man who lacks substantive character. He strikes blows at the naughty bits of LeBron Raymone James! This could damage structure, resulting in the end of reproduction for Mr. James. Now, extrapolate if Brooks were on our Jazz and he threw a similar blow in practice to good Sir Markkanen. No Sir, I do not want Brooks on our team.

He would be have been worth it for the Mitchell/Gobert teams or even the Gobert/Hayward teams, but I think he would be a disaster for the current young team the Jazz are trying to form.

I think he is similar to a Marcus Smart type player, if you can convince him to tone it down on offense he would be a really good add.

There’s just not enough upside here to take a stab at it. History has shown that if you’re gonna take a chance on a loose cannon, they better bring at least 1 elite skill set to the table. Perfect example: Rodman was the best rebounder of his era, which helped make his sideshow tolerable.

What skill set does Brooks bring to the table that qualifies as “elite”? Spoiler alert: Not a damn thing. The Jazz still have a lot of positions to be filled before they start looking for that 1 crazy dude that might get them over the hump. We’re the wrong organization at the wrong point of our rebuild to even consider this clown.
Brooks defense is elite in some areas. He's tough and plays hard, will dive for every 50/50 ball, those kinds of things.

Yall are crazy, we have a chance at having the infamous Brooks & Dunn duo on the Jazz! I'm all for it!
Post of the thread. It’s over. Done. No point in continuing to post here.
This is the whole reason I don't open up the mock draft thread. There are so many Dick pairings that I basically just want us to pick Gradey Dick. I mean, Brooks & Dunn is fine. But think of:

Black - Dick
Whitehead - Dick
Gay - Dick
Dick - Walker
King - Dick
Dick - Wong
Tubelis - Dick
Moore - Dick
Dick - Ballo
Fudge - Dick

You can even get abstract / exotic and throw a Dick Schofino in there.

My Dick hopes are sky high for the draft. If he goes anywhere else, I will have some serious Dick Envy.

This is as good of a post that you’ll see on this forum. Lots of good work on this one.

Bring back Whiteside. Darft Dick. Whiteside Dick, Brooks & Dunn. Hell, go for Lonzo Ball with his brother LiAngelo on the end of the bench on the cheap then we can get a trio of Whiteside, Dick, Balls, then sign Ingles and bring in Steven Adams so we can have a New Zealander and Aussie speaking during the press conferences.

Steven Adams is one of my favorite human beings in the NBA. Would love, love, love to have him come to the Jazz at some point down the line.
Its ok , you can just say you want him to hug you in his big strong kiwi arms. Onelove is a kiwi, you basically want to be held by Onelove, the special needs *************, have a word with yourself.

Oh C'mon I can't be the one that keeps posting this, how has is this 3 pages in and no one from Utah has posted this

He could be a grandpa and his grand kids could get on social media to post a feel good story about how great of a grandpa he is and I would reply with that video. If there was a way you could have a digital head stone, that would need to be a gif on rotation on said head stone.

I like that we think he will have some humble pie and really evaluate things with some serious self awareness... and then every report is the Grizz are done no matter what, Brooks wants 25M a year, and he wants to be more than a 3 and D role player...

If he signs a bargain deal it will be for the Heat or Lakers or someone like that... and he has still not figured out that he needs to change or he's just not that valuable.
