2023 NBA Combine Thread

i'm thinking all those that will be measured, have been measured. disappointed we won't see Sensabaugh, Keyonte George or NSJ.

The measurements might be released in bunches, rather than in real-time. Jett Howard is another one we're waiting on. I also can't imagine that Dereck Lively wouldn't do the measurements.

Hilariously on point for Cy. Wild rumor from where? He came in exactly as expected and has a standing reach more than a couple inches bigger than the dude he claims has elite length. Tay may not have been a "winner" but claiming he's a loser when Walker came in short and is a winner is just wild hating but I'd expect nothing less.
exactly this. Lets be intellectually honest here.......he cant control a rumored wingspan so calling it a fail that he didn't reach that is dumb.

Don’t have many winners or losers, everyone was just about where they were listed/expected.

If I had to pick a winner I’d probably say GG. Wingspan+Height more than expected, clearly has wide shoulders, and just looks better in drills. I still have questions about his game, but I was impressed with his frame and I do think he will get drafted high because he will look great in the predraft process.

As far as losers? Maybe it’s the Mandela effect but I also thought Hendricks had a 7’3 wingspan. Don’t know why Saint is getting roasted for that. You can’t decide to make up someone else’s personal expectation lol.

I’m going to be honest, Hendricks fans on this forum act like Raptor fans when they think there was a bad foul call. There isn’t some crazy conspiracy against you, and you look unhinged to anyone on the outside haha.

The league should be able to send in official measurements for Bilal Coulibaly from Europe. Reportedly, he has a big plus-wingspan (like 7'2" or 7'3"). He's also been listed as 6'6" and 6'8".

exactly this. Lets be intellectually honest here.......he cant control a rumored wingspan so calling it a fail that he didn't reach that is dumb.
The guy he is in direct competition with for draft positioning came in 2.5 inches shorter than him on standing reach. I promise yesterday didn't do one damn thing to hurt his draft stock.

I agree with this. Which isn't too surprising, these kids are getting measured all the time these days, we know what to expect within an inch or two on almost all of them.
Actually they aren't. COVID changed things. Guys in this draft class have not been officially measured nearly as much as you would see pre-covid

This obsession with measurements is a bit much for me. The biggest thing Bane had going against him were his t-rex arms. And Dok’s measurements were great. We all know how that worked out.
Its all pieces to the puzzle. There are exceptions to the rules... but you want to see if guys have adequate size for the position they project to play.

Some people are disappointed that Gradey Dick came in at 6'6.25". I'm not. He'll be 6'7.5" in shoes, which is fine for what he does. He's basically Hayward-sized.
Body wise, he looks like Hayward coming out of college. Maybe even a little more bulk. He’s no longer in my top 10, but I wouldn’t hate it if the Jazz picked him.
