2023 NBA Draft Megathread

The 9th pick ain't bad, we drafting Gordon Hayward again I'm assuming? lol

I mean, seriously. I'm just glad nobody put us back to 10th or 11th. That would've been bad. Better for the Spurs than the darn Mavs right?

Have to draft Dick and keep Gay in the roster so our announcers will be in a constant struggle to not shove some lines that could be taken wrongly lmao.

EDIT: And yes I am five years old

I saw someone say that Cam Whitmore is kind of the Rorschach test of the draft which kinda makes sense after watching him… like if you want to see a future Jaylen Brown esque star, you can see it. And if you want to see a tunnel visioned player who is a bad playmaker and won’t be able to barrel is way through nba players a la Stanley Johnson, Shabazz Muhammad, or Derrick Williams, you can see that too. He was one of the dudes i immediately liked though so I’m riding with him would love him at 9, but he’ll probably go before we pick.
Whitmore might be the most Danny Ainge type pick in this draft. The Jazz appear to have the right developmental staff in place to develop a player like him too.

Trade Kelly Olynyk, Walker Kessler, Rudy Gay for Scoot and Nurkic.

Huge salary savings for the washed Nurkic but the Jazz don't give up picks.

Would be amazing if it unfurled this way, we swoop in and draft Hendricks without a hesi.

I think this the "chalk" scenario. There's been a consensus top 7 for awhile, and then WAS at #8 takes their pick of a PG. That leaves us with the choice between Dick/Hendricks/Black or Wallace depending on who WAS takes.

I still think there's a good chance one of Dick/Hendricks/Black or Wallace goes top 7 which would drop one of the original consensus top 7 to #9.

So it comes down to weather WAS would definitely take a PG or not right?

Could they also use a wing in Hendricks?
