Pretty self explanatory. Is Victor so good from the get go that its enough to propel the Spurs past the Jazz in the standings next season?

Not even close.
He could make them a top 5 offense by himself. Plus they have a lot of young talent like Keldo. Johnson,Devin Cassell, and Jeremy Sochan.

Probably a premature thread, but if the Spurs add any halfway decent vets it's pretty easy to see it happening.

Nah, every team will have a defensive strategy planned specifically for him. They’ll physical him up. They’ll agitate him.

Every player will play extra hard against him. Fans will root against him. He’ll get rattled.

His ceiling is Anthony Davis for me, if that.

People are getting way ahead of themselves with Vic… heard someone say he wins a chip on his rookie deal… best prospect in all of sports history… look he should be awesome but calm the **** down.

He may be the most unique prospect ever, but he's not the best. It is getting extreme when people are saying he's a failure if he's KD or Hakeem lol.

You could put any single player on the Spurs and I would bet against them winning a championship in the next four years.

Shaq carried the Magic to the NBA Finals while on his rookie deal. The Magic had more of a team around him though, with Penny, Dennis Scott, Nick Anderson and Horace Grant.

If I were the Spurs, I would load-manage Victor and help him build his body and stamina. I'd bring him along slowly until there's more of a roster built around him.

Right now, the Jazz have torn down their roster to the studs. They have Lauri, Walker, Colin and Ochai, basically. They've got some more of Rudy Gay to mentor, and maybe they pick up Kelly Olynyk's option. A lot has to happen with the Jazz's roster though. If nothing else, the Jazz need to add more salary so they can package it along with their picks to make trades.

He’s young. He’s got plenty. Give him as much as he can take for the exp. and in the off season focus on internal joint strength for injury prevention

There are shows on ESPN claiming he is THE best prospect EVER. I would highly disagree

Offense? I kind of feel like he might be more impactful on defense in the beginning.

Depends on what path both teams take in the off-season in addition to Wemby. I can see it both ways.

I kinda think this too, but then I remember that THT is only 22, so you have to throw him in there as well. I know he can opt out, but he will only opt out to resign with the Jazz for a longer contract. Depending on how the draft goes, I can see the Jazz extending THT.
