What's new

2023 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread

Gotta find something else to do in the evenings now (I'm assuming Miami will close out tomorrow). Too long a stretch until the Finals.

Remembering how exciting it was when The Shot sent the Jazz to their first Finals. That was such an amazing time.

It’s pretty crazy to me that Denver is running away with the title with all the major pieces they had when we played them in the bubble. I mean, that core is the same core that we probably should’ve beaten in 6 or 7 games. My how the two franchises sure have taken completely different paths. It’s a shame Rudy never developed more of an offensive game. It’s a shame Mitchell never attempted to play defense. And it’s a shame we never could make the minor moves like Denver did to surround their stars with tough role players to put them over the top.

Sad to me that the Gobert/Mitchell era ended with zero to show for it. Meanwhile, neither are playing for teams headed anywhere. Cleveland isn’t even close to winning a title and minny is probably closer to winning the lottery than winning the title.

This Denver team is a lot better than the one we faced in the bubble.

Their defense was swiss cheese for most of that series without Gary Harris. This roster has great defenders like KCP, Aaron Gordon, Bruce Brown, who all can also shoot the 3.
