2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Some pretty impressive stats from multiple guys. The Hendricks one sticks out to me as extremely impressive. Similar to what Lauri did for us this year.

The Black and Wallace shooting numbers makes me feel better about their shooting prospects.

Whitmore with a crazy stat which I’m not surprised at. All around good stuff!
Yeah I been on that Hendricks thing before. The Cam thing confirms the eye test and I think the guy is a monster in a spread floor. Lots of other gems… thx dawg

Walker is just the more intriguing and higher upside pick on both ends. The stats aren't going to favor him,but you have a chance at adding a high level versatile defender with monster size who reportedly has an untapped skillset.

Hendricks is safer as an offensive piece because his game is so cookie cutter as a fit into most lineups, but I don't think he adds nearly as much as Walker.

Rmemeber how Cy had GG in the top ten and now he's sitting in the 30s.... more like Cy needs to gtfo

Yeah, it means Im not married to any prospect and it I have enough evidence in front of me to change my mind, I'll change my mind. Some of y'all think you got engaged to your prospect and to flip would be adultery.

May e you reached the conclusion before me with less evidence but you don't get bonus points for being right in early June.

Youre not married to any picks? Then don't put prospects that are clearly out ranked. JHS will NOT go top 10...ever.

Having a big playmaker who can control the middle of the floor is a big advantage for any offense. Obviously, Jokic, Lebron and Luka are the prime examples, but every team now is looking for a wing-sized playmaker to operate from the top of the key and in. The Celtics even played through Jayson Tatum as their primary initiator, and he isn't really a natural playmaker.

So I can see the argument for Hood-Schifino based on positional value. I just question whether overall he's really big enough or good enough. But the main thing is that he can control space in the middle of the floor.

my draft

Trade up to 5 and take cam
Or

9) Hendricks/Black/Dick
16) JHS/Wallace/Bufkin or trade down for later and next year pick
28). Klintman/Clowney/Nnaji if took guards. Pods, jones or whitehead otherwise.

Sensabaugh is interesting and should be in play at 16. He is a legit three-level scorer.
I like his tape and offensive upside. How’s his defense?

I’m sure a number of actual front offices have done the same. But hey it could be worse. Word has it the jazz had Ball #2 but switched him from second to second round and had Dok take his spot:p
