2023 NBA Draft Megathread

The guy I'm really high on that I think has the most chance of being a bust is Jarace Walker.

The guy I'm really low on that I think might end up surprising is Nick Smith Jr.

NSJ is horrid on paper, but I did like him more on film. He has a quickness to his game that could be special. This is the year of an excuse, and he does have an injury excuse.

Not an option at 9 or 16 for me, but at 28 I think he’s interesting. I like him more than JHS.

I don't think Walker will bust, but he may be more of a complementary/connective player than an alpha scorer. He could turn out something like Marcus Morris.

FWIW, the premise behind one of David Locke's LOJ shows last week was that the Wizards need a PGOTF and could take Wallace, leaving the Jazz with Bufkin as another potential guard option.

The timing of this news is a little coincidental with his workout in Washington no?

Unless there is an injury this is something to watch. Atlanta wouldn't be ideal right now with their current depth chart but he'd still get run this year and potentially step into Murray's role if they moved on from him.
Also wonder if there is some smoke on them trading this pick... so why waste your time type of thing.

What if the Jazz have to trade up to get Cason Wallace? The angry reaction from some of the posters here would be hilarious.

One of the reasons I have kind of kept Maxwell Lewis at bay was because of how bad his team was. I dont think that was really fair though, as it wouldnt have really mattered how good he was, Pepperdine was just flat out bad.
At lower levels of competition, I have higher expectations of winning for a legit NBA talent. That tells me he’s not that legit.
