We all know the Jazz have a glut of bigs, and young bigs that need playing time. So what will the Jazz do this off season?

Kevin O Connor has tough decisions this off season. Or will he do what he always does and make no decision?

The case for each player

Al Jefferson:

He says all the right things. He shows genuine interest in staying in Utah. Which to KOC might have more value than me or you would expect. He is a 20 and 10 guy, and those guys don't grow on trees, blah blah blah yada yada yada. He does have unique old school back to the basket skills. He seems to be a willing learner, and so maybe he still has room to grow.

Paul Millsap

Tough as nails. Heart and soul of the Jazz. Clutch. Always works hard to get better. High basketball IQ There isn't much he can't do. He is just a little under sized.

Favors

Long. Potential through the roof. Still has a lot to learn though.

Kanter

Plays hard. Some potential. Question marks about how far his athleticism can take him.

So what do the Jazz do?

Do we keep them all and go for another "title run" next year? Or do we cash in on one of these assets and make some room?

I report, you decide.

I say nothing happens but minor FA adds. I don't think Kevin O Connor has any plans to balance this team out, nor does he care if our high draft picks ride the pine. I think next year will be a repeat of this year essentially. Which is just going make for another frustrating wasted year.

You forgot Jeremy Evans.

We will draft Tyler Zeller.
6 Bigs.

We'll trade all of our bigs for Dwight Howard hopiing that if we sign Howard, D-Will will come back to Utah.
Howard will get out of Utah next year because D-Will actually like New Jersey.

We'll tank the season thereafter. Trade our lotto picks back for the 6 big guys.

And in 2 years we'll be the exact same team as this years + Zeller.

And THAT is how you do Nets General Management.

Jeremy who?

I don't see Sap or Favors getting traded under any circumstances. Al will be put on the chopping block obviously. Could see KOC parting with Kanter if a high profile PG or SF becomes available through trade (like Rondo).

The odd man out is Jefferson.

He goes to Indy for George Hill plus their first-round pick?
He goes to the Bucks for Mbah a Moute and their first-round pick?
etc?

( Hill and Mbah a Moute would be great role players to put around our young core)

This is all I really care about right now:

Don't have any guesses as to what will happen, but I'd like to trade Jefferson. He seems like the obvious odd man out to me. And I'd be ok if we didn't get 100% value back for him, it would be worth it just to make room for Kanter and Favors.

Ok we trade al and bell to Houston for a s&t for dragic, Marcus Morris and Courtney lee.

Doesn't make sense. Dragic is an unrestricted free agent we don't need to trade for him, just outbid Houston and everyone else. If you just want to clear Al's salary, plenty of teams with cap space would offer a lower first round or future pick for him. Also, Marcus Morris is looking like the biggest bust in the lottery so far.

I really hope we can cash in on something. I would hate to see more talent walk out the door for nothing in 2013
What talent has walked out the door for nothing recently?

I see a bunch of lower tier dime a dozen players who have left for nothing. But those guys are a dime a dozen for a reason. So again, what talent has walked out the door for nothing recently?

I see no one being traded. They each contribute in their own way and are far too valuable right now and in the summer, at least in KOC's eyes, to just trade for 60 cents on the dollar, which will likely be the type of deals that are out there. I'd guess KOC will want to see if Al comes back in better shape and if Favors has developed a better post game, and how each translates, if at all, in next year's regular season games, before pulling a trigger. If a trade's going to happen, it'll be next January or February in my opinion.

If we come back with the same four bigs and favors is left to rot on the bench, I certainly will not be getting league pass to watch this **** again.

That is how I feel. I don't think its so much that we are worried about getting equal trade value for Paul or al, its that we are worried what its going to do if we keep benching favors. Is he going to get mad at the team? Or is it going to hamper his growth. I just can't see how you bench him another year.

I don't know the answer to your question. I just say whatever to help my argument.

For me the end game is get rid of Miles and Bell, trade Big Al and possibly Harris. Shore up the wings and PG spot and grab 1-2 lotto picks and a 3rd string big (not Fesenko).
