What's new

Game of Thrones(HBO Series)

I'm not pleased with what they're doing with Jon Snow.

I also don't get why they're trying to make Lady Catelyn look smart, when in reality she made a lot of dumbass decisions. Oh well...

Tonight's episode was definitely the best of the season so far.

I'm still digging the added Arya-Tywin stuff.

And the changes they made the Qarth stuff are... dramatic. Seems a little overkill on the one hand, but as a mechanism for shortening everything, they could have done worse.

I haven't read the books so I don't have a frame of reference, but having watched every episode up to date - I must say the Arya-Tywin scenes have been among my favorite.

Any of the book readers feel like PMing me some spoiler type info on the red-head who trapped Snow? Is that her only role in the books or is she a significant character? If so, let me know what her role is and if their relationship (and him sparing her life) comes back to the forefront. Thanks in advance.

PM'ed.

AP what are you thoughts on the Jon Snow storyline?

It's been a while since I read the books, but I'm pretty sure they did some condensing, didn't they? I believe in the books, they had to do a big climb up a cliff in the dark to get to the wildlings they attacked, and there was more interaction with Yoren. Even so, I don't think they've mishandled it in any way so far. But we won't be able to really judge until the last couple of episodes, when the really significant Jon moments happen (i.e., with Rattleshirt and Yoren). I will say that I like the actress they got for Ygritte.

Yeah, me too. Wondering if there were any pics of her with less than arctic tundra levels of clothing on.

I'll PM you bc I would give away spoilers.

Awesome episode last night. The slow start to this season is being made up for in spades.

I was slightly disappointed with last night's episode because it didn't really show how ****ing smart Tyrion is. They left out The Chain.

That needed to be a 2 hour episode. They rushed through way too much last night.

This.

The chain was a crucial part of the story. The whole time that tyrion was having the chain built he was being criticized and told that he was wasting time and manpower for his "stupid" chain.
Then it ends up working perfectly and playing a big part in the blackwater battle.
