What's new

You guys are not ready for da tank!!!!!

That's just it. I'm so put off by the Jazz orgy selling a broken team for two years that it's hard for me to get excited about another two sub-par years.

Call me a spoiled fan, whatever. I can't stand how we were lead on for Miller business reasons, and haven't boughten a single ticket for two years because of this nonsense.

Ahem.

If this team sucks for two years, then KOC should be fired. This team is set up to lose for ONE year and ONE year only.

We all know next year will suck, but look at the team after next season:

Burke
Hayward/Burks
No one
Favors/Evans
Kanter/Gobert

Toss in a top 10, maybe even top 5 pick, and another draft pick AND 30 million in FA money? That team had better make the playoffs. If it doesn't, then that means that Kanter, Favors AND Hayward didn't pan out and KOC blew THREE top 10 picks and he needs to go.

This team gets ONE year to suck. That's it. There is no excuse for losing for longer than one year.

Hayward, Kanter and Favors had better be able to take a team to the playoffs if they have a decent bench by the end of this year.

Bring in the tank! I can hang. (plus, I'll have a lot Sundays at the first of the season to use as a pick me up when I get down on the Jazz. Go Seahawks!)

And it had to take THREE long years to implement why?

Yall still think you ready? I will -26 you to kingdom come if I hEar any bitch about da tank once the season begins.

I won't bitch at all about wins and losses as long as corbin plays burks, favors, kanter, and hayward 30 minutes per game. (Barring foul trouble of course)

I have had a tank in my sig since last year ended. I will not complain about the young guys at all but I might complain about Corbin. I leave that out there, if he plays Jefferson and biedrins heavy minutes even if it leads to a loss I will complain.

Bring it on.

Would that do?

My consolation for they (RJ and Biedrins) wont get heavy minutes, Milsap and Jefferson even Mo (he couldnt get it though) were have a chance to get one more big contract in their career and they needed the heavy minutes. Corbin probably made them a favour in that crucial year of their career with hiding behind "we are trying to win" excuse and IMO vet squad was very effective at Corbin's decisions. But RJ is too old for it, Biedrins is not a huge asset and he is not worth it and thats why i think they wont get heavy minutes. The vets are in the minority right know and they dont have a lobby power like last year to affect Corbin's decisions.

One does not simply contend by drafting Lebron or Wiggins. Keeping them for long enough and surrounding them with talent makes you a contender. Look at the situation of Cavs. Quit tanking. Wait for Wiggins to get bored of his team and come to a team that has major salary cap space and owners with lots of money alongside young talent to back him up.

I was always amazed how hard LeBron could carry the Cavs on his back. That team was so meh. 2 years after LeBron left none of their players had any value except Varejao and he's always injured unfortunately.
So if Wiggins has an impact like LeBron he's possibly able to carry a team deep into the playoffs on his own. If he lands in a situation like the Jazz with loads of slightly older talent around him you have an awesome situation. Players like Wiggins usually have an extended prime from 23 to 35 or sth compared to normal mortals who peak between 26 and 31 or 23 and 28 if only dominant through athleticism. So when Wiggins would become a young prime player you've got the rest around age 26. Plus you possess Bird rights of everyone enabling you to go comfortably over the luxury tax threshold in case the Millers' car business is doing good.
If your local TV deal needs renewal you can command higher rates also by closing a short term deal based on the increased interest when having a perennial contender.
